Dana Carvey imitates Paul

So funny! This is a new one!

This is where I originally put this post, then I deleted it here and put it under The Broadcast since it was Paul-related and on a TV show! You can’t win around here!

Yeah, I was going to post a reply in the other place and now it's here.
Anyway, thanks for posting the link! I think Dana does such a great impression of Paul. I actually like his impressions better than Stevie Riks!
Did you ever see this clip? lol

In addition to Dana Carvey and Stevie Riks, shouldn't forget to add Eric Idle, who did a Paul impression in "The Rutles"... I think he looks more like George than Paul.
I enjoyed The Rutles and thought it was a very funny parody, in the style of Saturday Night Live, but was disappointed at the very end. In the story, after the Rutles broke up, it showed what happened to each band member, and where they are today, etc. They portrayed the Paul character, named Dirk McQuigley, as being in a punk band, and showed him with large safety pins through his head and nose, and said "He formed a punk band with his wife where he sings and his wife doesn't" and then shows him spitting his drink to the camera screen. Thought Paul and Linda deserved a more respectful parody than that... he's a very gifted and intelligent musician and songwriter, and his post-Beatles music has always been loved. Just my opinion anyway! From what I've read Paul wasn't too happy with The Rutles parody... maybe like me he saw it and liked it until that end spot. Was also disappointed with the portrayal of the Brian Epstein character... but other than that the musical numbers were very funny. The Indian actor/musician who played George was great, lol
