Wow, didn't see that coming! Wasn't really expecting any Scottish shows ever again. And whilst its not quite the much missed Apollo, its not a bad venue (saw Kasabian there last year). Now the ticket sweat begins!
-
Woke up this morning to get a fb link from a mate . Beyond excited . Totally didn’t see this coming . It’ll be my first trip to the Hydro as well , and it couldn’t be for a more important artist !
Another friend told me tickets start at £140 ?!
I’ll still be going but that’s almost 3 times what I paid for Hampden in 2010
-
All tickets for The Hydro show are £125 (plus £16.90 booking fee).
-
Do we know whether a regular ticket may get us reasonably close seats? I was looking at VIP and I’m not sure how many rows they take up.
Regardless, I am beyond excited to finally see Paul in my own city! Missed out on Hampden last time and had to travel to Liverpool in 2015 (and possibly will again this year)
-
£16.90 booking fee - what a crock

Nothing will ever be like the Apollo!
-
Ticket prices have now been adjusted on The Hydro website and they range from £73.80 - £141.90 (plus postage fees).
-
That’s more like it ! Thanks for the info

This is so awesome! I went to sleep last night expecting a London & Liverpool announcement & I wake up to a Glasgow announcement too. So surprised as Glasgow hasn't been rumoured at all since 2010, so happy!

There will be a SSE Rewards pre-sale on July 11 at 10 AM:

By the way, are their tickets usually sent by mail, collected at the venue or printed at home?
-
Daily record today saying that the Hydros exclusive relationship with ticketmaster is toxic and only encourages touts
a bit worrying ...

You can pick either or. Post is like an extra £2.50 whilst Print at Home is free

Thanks. I'm not sure they ship overseas, so do you think it's possible to collect ticket at the venue?

I think that they do post abroad but it's sent by UPS, I've never seen any option for a box office collection. So don't know how that gets arranged

You have to be an SSE customer to take part in the pre-sale and as they supply UK utilities, anyone outside the UK will be unable to access the pre-sale.

Was on before 10:00 with the SSE Reward to be instantly told that there's no tickets available! Furious doesn't even cover it
-
Luckily my mum's cousin had American Express & managed to bag 2 front row tickets for £141 ea
-
Was on the button at 10:00am and after 10 minutes of refreshing the page I got two tickets via SSE Rewards.
Good seats by all accounts too, as it's pretty much the same seats we had for Roger Waters last week.

Woke up at 5 AM (my local time) and got a floor seat! Beyond excited that perhaps I will finally hear Paul singing Mull Of Kintyre!
There was no "box office collection" option, so I had to pay for Secure Courier delivery. Hopefully it will be delivered before my departure, otherwise I will have to ask them to print it again at the box office. Would Ticketmaster do that?
