Calling them a boy band is a stretch. They're all male, but that's about it. Calling them reality TV stars is absurd.
-
True. They played instruments! Most boy bands today just dance & sing.
-
They dance simple repetitions and sing with auto-tune. The Beatles sang "Because" and played "Paperback Writer".

'Rubber Soul', Revolver' and 'Sergeant Pepper' were each of them giant leaps forward. The progression was quite astonishing at the time. People's minds were blown, never mind any waccy baccy they might also have been taking.

Revolver was released yesterday, August 5, 1966.

There was a little more than "waccy baccy" in their brains around the time they were making Revolver and Pepper! Lysergic Acid Diethylamide 25 as George put it, was also in the mix and the music (and still legal at the time).

For anyone who has studied Life broadly and deeply, recognizes The Beatles as a Godsend. It is absolutely no coincidence that LIFE would send us these messengers of Higher Education, Love and Peace after Oppenheimer's Death Macine came into being.
