One would like to think that means 14 new songs are being considered. That doesn't mean they'll all make the cut. It could also mean there are like eight new songs and three slots that have two rotating songs or something like that...it coul dalso mean he was soundchecking and half of those are along the lines of "Matchbox"........
Exactly, Id be happy with 5-7 new songs at this point. 3-4 Egypt Station, and 2-3 newbies for the remainder. He also could be rehearsing songs that are regulalry played, that need touching up on.

Actually I would like to see 5-6 from Egypt Station. My goodness, looks like you may have the #1 album in the country so why not give the audience plenty of it - lol. McCartney also needs to talk about these new songs when he introduces them and not just say here is a new song. I have a feeling he will have a little fun with the audience regarding "Fuh You" - lol.

Extreme long shot of 5-8 songs off new album or 14 all together, would love to be wrong but history not on your side on this one but guess we'll find out soon enough

How many songs did we get for the Out There tour when it first began? Referring to ones that were new or hadn't done in a long time? The ones that come to mind are Eight Days A Week, Hi Hi Hi, Lovely Rita, Mr Kite, All Ttogether Now, Your Mother Should Know, Listen to What the Man Said. Would you group Another Day and Things We Said Today into that category too?

-Fuh YouWow, Off the Ground got decent album coverage. And for New, he was fairly selective when he played Everybody Out There, right?

"Everybody Out There" was in the set from the album release in September of 2013, until 2015 when it was replaced with "Hope For The Future" to plug the single release from the video game. It was in the show for nearly two years though, so I certainly consider it regularly played. I only got to hear it once in Pittsburgh but it went over very well...certainly than "Hope For The Future" turned out to do.

Oh I didn't even realize that. Heard him do Hope for the Future but not Everybody Out There. I know most of the audience probably wasn't familiar with Hope for the Future, but it took me by surprise - both that he actually played it and that it sounded great with the effects from Wix.

The biggest mistep in promoting "New" was NOT performing "I Can Bet". That would've tore it up live. Other than that, I'd say in retrospect, he made the best choices. The only other song played live was "On My Way To Work", in ALbany per the request of some members here...I believe "Alligator" and possibly "Appreciate" appeared at some soundchecks, but never onstage.

Yep, I was just listening to a soundcheck recording of Alligator earlier today as a matter of fact. Wonder if Appreciate was recorded too.

Oh man, would love to see him do alligator live. It's a real personal favourite of mine.

-Fuh YouI mean he did performed Put it there too during 1989/90 World Tour. On which show did he played Confidante?
As ES seems to be commercial sucessfully I think he could performe now more than only 4 songs. As Come on to me and Fuh you are certainly in the setlist I can imagine following ES songs. I Don't know, Who cares, Happy with You (maybe instead of My Vallentime?) and Despite Repeated Warnings. That makes together 6 songs.
-
You're absolutely right. I knew I'd forget one...how'd I forget "Put it There"?!?
-
I'd love for him to do one of the bonus songs "Nothing For Free". But I doubt he'd ever do it.

I agree and have said that often, "I Can Bet" would have been great live.

I could really see that working with the younger crowd. On bonus songs, I always wished he'd done Turned Out live. That would have been great with the band. And I have to agree I Can Bet would have been similarly good with this band.

Yeah, you mention "younger crowd"...that's the same for FourFive Seconds. I wish he'd drop that one. I can't imagine him when he sings I'm about to spaz. LOL!

I Can Bet should have been in a rotation with Save Us.
Im not a big fan of 4/5 but at least it’s a new song.. right? Lol
if the pattern holds, we’re going to get 10 songs not played on the previous tour. As to what the ten are, we will find out Monday.
