Hot Sound Question
-
Hey guys,
I am doign the hot sound package for the friday vegas show and haven't done it since dodger stadium back in 2014 or so i think it was (could be wrong). Anyhow, I was curious what the timeline of events is sort of like these days.
Like is it check in, get your stuff, do sound check, get food? or some other order?
I'm actually debating on skipping sound check as I buy the package for the good seats but I prefer going in to the show fresh and not having already saw a performance from half way back in the arena. Anyhow, any insihgt would be very appreciated. Thanks!
Also is anyone else catchign Aerosmith the weekend of Vegas?

The order is - check in; hang around for about 30 to 40 minutes in a hospitality room, usually with drinks and appetizers. Once it's confirmed that Paul is on his way, you get led into the arena for soundcheck. After soundcheck, back to the hospitality room for the veggie buffet, and that's when you get your merchandise/swag. Once the arena doors are open to begin letting everyone else in (often at 6:30 for an 8:00 pm show), you are free to leave the lounge to enter the arena. Hope that helps!

Ditto to what thenightfish said. Can’t believe you would skip the soundcheck! If the Las Vegas show is in an arena, you won’t be “half way back” - you will be 1/3 of the way back, behind the first section. In 2017 in Duluth, GA I was only 25 rows back, right in the center. Great view!

Don't skip the sound check...it's like going to a totally different McCartney show!!

Thanks for the input guys!
I remember doing the soundcheck in LA and it was cool, but not my favorite. There's something I love about the build up to the show and seeing him for the first time when the first song starts. I know its sounds crazy to skip, but it sort of takes a little bit of the luster of the show away for me, personally. I still may go but wanted to at least know the timeline. thanks!!!

Echoing...do not skip the soundcheck! It’s a mini concert.
