If you are on FB, look up Javier Parisi - Lennon Tribute. Then click on Photos. He is playing John in this. He looks so much like him (and sings like him too) it is spooky!

I'll check out those vids.
Cyn Lennon was important in their story, but I don't know about being "the 5th Beatle." She had no musical talent that I know of and little if any input into their songs, that I know about. (She did inspire some or most of John's early love songs, one would think.) And I read both her books. I don't know if it's true John Lennon would have fallen apart early on and had to drop out of the Fabs, if not for Cynthia's love and support. He was ambitious and knew he was very talented, and even regarded himself as a genius. He was pretty tough at that stage. He said he was just in it to "get girls" but I suspect that was a tongue in cheek remark. I do believe he really loved music.

'The Beatles' were only really a quintet for one year in their career (1960), so the fifth Beatle can only really be either Stuart Sutcliffe or Pete Best. Although I think Cynthia deserves the credit she's being given, I think 'the fifth Beatle' tag is one step too far.

Agree. The woman who wrote the article was just looking for a hook for her story.

Yeah, me too - I posted that to Javier on FB and told him I bought a 5x7 copy at The Beatles Store in London for £5!
