1985 maybe? It could be much later. Some photos of Paul are really difficult to pinpoint.
I know! Thanks!

That was the Jimmy Fallon show, wasn't it? Paul called on someone whose birthday it was, to stand up and Jimmy Fallon stood up. Then Paul sang a song for him and I think they had a birthday party for Jimmy after the show! Great picture of Paul

Yes, that was when Jimmy was wished Happy Birthday by Paul.
There's a video of it on YouTube

Thanks for posting that one! Could almost see myself in the audience ! It was like being there again...Jimmy was so visibly excited the rest of the show, especially... after the Happy Birthday song. Paul was very cute how he did that...a thoughtful friend. Just makes you appreciate Paul even more.

1987 (Once Upon A Long Ago video)
17th October 1987. High up on the Valley of Rock cliffs in Devon, Paul was nearly blown off the cliff from the combined force of the gusty winds and the downward air turbulance from the overhead helicopter.

Thank you both for the info!

That is one of my favorite videos, it always brings a tear to my eye...The balloons on a windy day winding up in the stairwell, the happy family life, it just has so much nostalgia for happy family times with Linda.
Really love the colors associated with the music, there is an interesting article in another thread about the connections between music and color.
Songs we were singing - Music as communication (Translate music intonation into words using color semantics)

We miss not being able to see Paul in concert. I'm sure he misses not being able to perform live too, since making music means so much to him! Hope the dang coronavirus will be gone soon... not just so we can see Paul, but so that the world can be safe from this disease and back to normal again

^ Hate to be a pessimist, but it ain't going away any time soon. Many states, including mine (GA) need to lock down again so the hospitals aren't overwhelmed. My stupid governor (Kemp) is SUING the Atlanta mayor because she wants to make masks mandatory in Atlanta!
And now, something to make us all feel a bit better, Paul in 1969!

There is a more positive way to look at things. Paul in concert is just Paul repeating himself, doing the same old songs over and over again. Hopefully, by not wasting time touring, Paul is being creative, writing new songs, recording new songs and just generally working on new projects.

"wasting time touring" haha...funny thought. But I do agree with "doing the same OLD songs over & over. Now, if he was to do a new tour with songs from the last 20 years...but we are getting way off topic here.

Thanks, Kestrel! I just feel sad for musical artists who aren't able to perform live during the coronavirus, because they have so many people they employ during their concert tours who are now out of work, and I'm sure they wish it didn't have to be that way. And it goes without saying that we miss being able to see them! But what you wrote is a positive way to look at it. Paul is a creative genius, he'll always find a way to make new music and make whatever music he already has available to us.

I don't think you're a pessimist, it's just the reality of the way things are right now. Things are crazy here too. So many people here aren't wearing a mask because they feel it violates their constitutional right to choose not to. That shows that their own health and the well-being of others is a low priority. They're going to continue going to church or beach parties, etc without wearing a mask, and they don't care. Luckily our county health department requires a face mask now to enter any grocery store, or they can't shop at all.
