I have a friend who named her son "McCartney" and her daughter "Starkey Jude." Those little kids are so cool. They love the Fabs, and their names. Starkey's sported a purple punk rock hairstyle her whole short life. She's only about eight, and a tiny little thing. So spunky and cute (she's half Mexican). McCartney has a pretty face, like his namesake. He's only ten. He's got blonde hair and blue eyes and dresses real cool, as does Starkey. They look rock n' roll.

"Lennon" is a nice sounding Christian name. Has a fine distinguished ring to it. The country singer Thomas Rhett named his third baby girl "Lennon Love."
Maybe Yoko was just being coy, trying to be flirty with the surly Oasis singer in an attempt to get him to lighten up for a second, when she made her remark, calling it silly to name a kid "Lennon."

Forgot to say, when my friend saw Paul in Raleigh last time he played there, she held up a huge sign that told she named her son "McCartney" and Paul singled her out to say something about it ! --he shared an anecdote about a comedian friend of his who had told him he wanted to name his child after him. The British comedian who has the show "Car Pool Singalong" or whatever it's called, and a late night American telly show too, I think. He co-starred in the "Cats" movie musical.

It was James Corden who named his son Max McCartney. (he's 9 years old now) He has another middle name too - James says it in the carpool karaoke video.

When I was 9 or 10 I used to say if I had a son some day I'd name him Paul John. Married a Michael and had twins Kevin Michael and Lauren Michelle. (snuck a little Beatles reference in there + it's a female version of Michael) Michael is a Beatles/Paul fan too. He got me floor seats to see Paul in 2002 for my birthday and we went together. (We got divorced in 1989, but have remained friends to this day)
