I could only stomach five minutes of that fawning interviewer and I had to stop the recording. Why are Americans so crap at interviewing people? Still, at least I got to hear Paul mention the Beatles....he managed to hold for three minutes and twenty three seconds this time.
-
^ Apparently Stern wasn't even given a copy of Mac 3 to review. Maybe it got lost in the mail.
I caught the last part of the show live & after Paul left Stern started talking about solo songs & even played Oo You along with a few others.

Howard is such a fanboy of Paul, he can't help himself! Most of us Americans are used to him. He used to have a TV show years ago I watched all the time. It was the same set-up, him interviewing celebrities.

^ Still....too many questions about the Beatles & not Mac 1,2,3.

Of course. To be expected. I never get my hopes up with any of Paul's interviews that they'll talk about something we've never heard before! I did like the bit in that where he talked about the erotic dream he had (had heard this in a different interview earlier) But good ole Paul, even in his dreams he remained faithful! He sure did a 180 from his his years prior to Linda/fall of 1968!

But good ole Paul, even in his dreams he remained faithful!
There were only about 5 million people (including his wife!) listening, so he had to say he had complete control over whatever was happening in his dream... he couldn't have answered that any other way! But since it was only a dream, he has nothing to be ashamed of... with whatever happened... (in the dream! )

I know he could have answered anything, but if I had to bet, I'd say he was telling the truth. It was the way he said it. ("Just to let you know, I didn't!") That quote is from the interview I read or heard, not Howard Stern.
In this other interview (podcast) that someone posted on here, he was asked who is the most fascinating or interesting person he's ever met and he did say several people like Dylan, Bowie....and his wife Nancy! Now that was definitely him being a "proper" husband and I thought was kind of stupid of him to say, to tell you the truth. He should have said John Lennon actually!
It was this interview by Adam Buxton (Paul starts st about 10 minutes - you can slide bar up to it)

I agree with you. Was surprised he didn't mention John too, and he's said so many times that how much he enjoyed meeting world leaders like the Queen, and Barack 0bama, and that they've truly inspired him.

Believe it or not Kestrel, McCartney was on "The Tonight Show" (Jimmy Fallon) in the US the other night and did not mention the Beatles once, I almost fainted. That being said, Fallon is lame interviewer and another fanboy.

None! That's exactly what I was saying - he was a man-whore before he got together "permanently" with Linda.

Back on topic...does anyone have a link to the entire Howard Stern interview? I've only been able to find 2 short snippets of it on You Tube.
