Yay!

I got tickets, which is amazing considering I always miss out on events like this! Got really good balcony seats. I'm flying in from Dublin tomorrow morning. Very excited!
-
There is someone selling a spare ticket on a Beatles Facebook group I'm in, if anyone is still looking for a ticket?

Ah that's brilliant! I'm from Ireland too (but living in London!), cannot wait for this event!

Great! I know of quite a few Irish fans attending. It's going to be great to see him again after the madness of the last two years!
-
Best wishes to all fans in London waiting on the big event.
The rest of us will be on here watching. Right now, Just my car, Callie, and I passing the time watching Let Me Roll It from 1993 as the afternoon rolls on.

Visited Ireland for a few days in 2016 and stayed in Dublin which was great !! We stayed at the FitzWilliams hotel which was very nice and in the center of Dublin. (next to St. Stephen's Green Shopping Center). We loved Trinity College and seeing the "Book Of Kells". One night we had dinner and drinks at the "Brazen Head" pub which said it was the oldest pub in Ireland. Took day trip from Dublin and went to see the "Cliffs Of Moher" which was incredible and parts of Western Ireland. I would also like to mention how friendly the people were in Dublin, would love to go back. My great grandmother was born in Ireland.

Well, didn't hear anything I didn't already know, but it was an enjoyable hour and a half.
What do the rest of you think?
-
Was there in person. Absolutely fantastic - a great, wide ranging and intelligent conversation and I haven't heard Paul speak so relaxingly and candid for quite some time. When you get a chance you MUST watch the stream!
Whilst at this point in time it's really hard to get any new information - many of the answers you will know and can almost read out as he's answering them - the conversation itself was enagaging throughout and the host Samira Ahmed (I think her name was) did a fantastic job and had clearly researched her subject well. She referenced past comments he made as well as the Barry Miles biog from 1997. Only question I didn't agree on was when she asked Paul for his thoughts on a new Bealtes attracrion in Liverpool, essentially: "Are you concerned that post Brexit, that the government may be trying to latch on to the Beatles in a nationalistic and jingoistic way?". Paul didn't see it that way. But I can't fault her for anything else - she was brilliant, whethers others in her role could have been out of their depth.
An interesting point to make that those of you who watched the stream may have missed: I had balcony seats. At one point when Samira played a clip after asking him about Lennon and their relationship - I cannot recall what exactly was prompted it - the stage lights went low so we could see the clip. Focusing in on Paul I was sure I could see him well up a bit, become emotional. After the show had ended, I spoke to a fellow fan who had better seats and said that it did indeed look like that. Also, when the I Saw Her Standing There clips was played, Paul shook his head slightly at the "wooo" bits!
Excellent night in the company and presence of Paul. Now to go and devour the books!

In other words, it was 99.5% about the Beatles -lol. One day, I would love an interviewer to say to Paul, "I don't give a damn about the Beatles, I want to know about your life and career after 1970"- lol. (not going to happen !!)

Should have typed Callie the CAT, not car! As it turned, enjoyed seeing Paul bu Callie slept through the entirety of the stream. Animal-lover Paul would understand.
Hilarious review of The Lyrics on Amazon. Guy says he is returning it due to lack of things on The Beatles. As for the Fabs, they have been covered so heavily everywhere, I am fine with as many pages as possible devoted to post-1970 as I know many of you are as well
most regrettable omission is The End of The End from Memory Almost Full. Depressing topic but handled so poetically.

Amazon reviews on most things are a joke. One Amazon poster said the book had too much about Linda -OMG.

Would love that too!! LOL
He has so many brilliant songs after The Beatles, it would be so nice to aknowledge them and give details on them too.

Have you guys listened to these short audio clips from Paul? They were mentioned in another thread. I believe he's reading from his new book "The Lyrics."
