Password change problem
-
Hi,
A long-time boardie Forget64 has changed his password, but ever since he's been unable to get back on this site. Could the admins or moderators help him out?
I'll paste his words about his problem: "I have been trying to change my password on the McCartney message board because it won't let me in with the old password. I have tried about 10 times and even though it is simple, the site just keeps going back and forth between create new password and send new password. I think there is a problem with the site because the process is a simple one."
Thanks,
Kimsey

the process SHOULD BE a simple one. I know Nancy has had problems recently. Maybe she has some answers.

You have to create a new account with a different email address as well as password. That's what I had to do since for no apparent reason my original account would not let me post in new threads.

That's too bad, Nancy, since your account had close to 20,000 posts, if not more... I wonder if the software of this message board has settings that won't allow a user to make more than 20,000 posts, then they're limited or locked from posting more... the designers who set this up might not have anticipated that people would make that many... but I've seen other message boards that people have been on for years where they have a lot more than that!
Just wondering what the problem could be... wish you could have kept your old username!
Forget64....0ne thing that helped me when I couldn't log in here was to delete all my temporary files and empty sll caches, etc., then log off my computer and turn the power off. After waiting an hour, I turned the computer back on and went to the maccaboard and was able to log in. Not sure if that will be of help but that did help me to get logged in.
Another thing that's important... this site is case sensitive...I have to log in as LadyLeslie not ladyleslie... and password has to be exactly as you created it when logging in.... if you made your password (for example) DizzyLizzy23 you have to type it like that, and not dizzylizzy23.
Good luck and hope that helps!

I know! Especially since I had joined as Nancy R in Mar. 2011. For some reason in 2018 I had created the NJR profile using my other email address and luckily had written it down + password, so was able to continue on here last year when my account went wacky!
ETA: I just found an old Nancy R post and I had 52,424 posts from Mar. 1, 2011 to the end of Nov. 2021 when I switched accounts!

Oh my! 54,424!! You definitely deserve a "top fan" or "top poster" icon! That's why I wish you could keep adding to the 54,424 account so you can continue to break some records! You were on a winning streak!!
