If I Had A Chance To See The Beatles
-
The Beatles happened way before I was even born. My mother was very young my father even younger. I missed out on the good stuff back then. Now all they have is junky modern music which is why I just stick with Paul's and Ringo's music. I watched a Hard Day's Night movie and maybe I am thinking like George Harrison or something but some of those girls went a little too far with the screaming crying and fainting bit. Now me I really can't scream, because it hurts my throat so I don't think I could have handled on going to see the Beatles in 1964 if I would have been there. I wonder how the Beatles could just continue on singing even though they couldn't hear themselves over the noise? Poor George probably got a headache later after the concert from the screaming. Paul is used to crowds like that and loves it. Not sure how the the other two felt about the screaming girls. But I do know George was not crazy about it I guess im in the same boat as him. I don't think I would have gone to see the Beatles during that year in 1964 because it would have been too much for me to handle even though I am a Beatles fan myself. Anyone else feel the same way? I know many of you here that may have seen the Beatles in 1964 at their peak, but I was wondering for those fans who had never seen the Beatles in concert like me? I only saw Paul and Ringo in concert, never got a chance see George or John. I would have given anything to see George himself in concert though.

I turned 9 in 1964 and never got the chance to see The Beatles in concert.
I begged my Mom to take me in '66 when I was 11, but she said "Next year." Well, as we all know they never toured after '66. I would have given anything to have seen them in concert (and I probably would have screamed my head off!)
At least I did get to see George in '74, Ringo in '97 and (so far) Paul 5 times!

It was in Atlanta and he wasn't hoarse that night. I was pretty far away from the stage (and I don't remember taking binoculars!) He changed the lyric in "In My Life" to "In my life, I loved God more." I remember I went to the bathroom during Ravi Shankar's portion of the show! This was almost 40 years ago (I was 19!) and the ticket cost $7.50 (I still have the ticket!)

Ha ha yeah George was very spiritual then he was very spiritual up until he passed away. I thought that was cool how he changed the lyrics like that.
I love George's spiritual side. That's pretty cool you still have the ticket. Hold on to it...it's very valuable because George really didn't do that many concerts like our Paulie does now.

I'd go.

If I had one opportunity to see them, it would be hard to choose what era. By the time they got to the U.S., you couldn't really hear them when they played. Maybe being on the Hard Day's Night train! Worked for Patty.
