"John Lennon at 70"--an online article pretending Lennon wrote it, at: vanityfair.com under "John Lennon at 7o"
-
I found nothing there in the most recent issue, so where was it? Can you post a link?

It's well written. You can actually "hear" John saying some of those things. I've always wondered if he had lived and the Beatles got together again in the mid-80's if the fashions would look ridiculous in the years to follow. They look pretty cool on the cover of Abbey Road still. That has endured. Not sure of anything from the 80's. http://www.vanityfair.com/culture/features/2010/09/john-lennon-at-70-2010

Go to the Vanity Fair site and in the search engine at the top right hand side type in "John Lennon". A few articles come up including this one. That's how I found it, anyhow. Good luck. Websites can be very finicky.

I haven't read this article yet--but gosh dawg it, I'm reminded of the terrible loss--Lennon would have continued to be fascinating, and surprise us, and contribute worthwhile things to the culture, to the world--we've been terribly deprived of what could have been. Of course our loss is nothing compared to his. I can only hope and pray he went on to enjoy new adventures and experiences, that his bright light didn't go out--that nobody's does.
