Name the best song he never played live.....
-
Just an informal question, on which song that Paul has never played live before...at any live concert venue... that you would most like to see played live this tour... Can be from ANY era... Beatles/Wings/Solo... Lets see who can be most creative, lets fact check each other, and then lets come up with a short list of the five most requested, then do a poll..... What can we collectively come up with????

HEY BULLDOG After watching Geoff Lynne and Dave Grohl just absolutely KILL it at the special Grammy show, I only wish Paul would add that one to his roster.....
-
HEY BULLDOG is a John song. I really wish he would stop playing John songs, he has so many good ones of his own. For my part, I would love to hear LITTLE LAMB DRAGONFLY live! Or DEAR BOY!

I've thought about that matter: I can't think of a better way for Paul to celebrate his solo catalog than with a concert with numerous guests -- from Norah Jones to Sananda Maitreya (formerly known as "Terrence Trent D'Arby). Whaddya' think?

Speaking of (and, yes, I know that "No Reply" is, technically, a John-song

I don't know, I truly want to see the original composer/performer singing his own tunes. I'm pessimistic anyway, any of these concerts will be 'Live And Let Die', 'Band On The Run', and The Mull again... Even transposing the key wouldn't matter that much to me any more. When he did it, it was done in the right way - not in a depressing Brian Wilson solo concerts kind of way (
) - and McCartney did this on more tunes than I thought before I looked into it a bit: 'Ob-La-Di, Ob-La-Da', 'I've Just Seen A Face', 'I Will', 'Fixing A Hole' (which doesn't really count, different arrangement, fantastic one too, same counts for 'Ram On'). Only with 'I Will' (and 'Fixing A Hole' of course) I noticed it from the start, the other tunes are sounding very natural, and that's what is the most important thing. Same with avoiding certain notes ('Helter Skelter', I've Got A Feeling'). It's hardly Goo Goo Dolls singing the chorus to 'Iris' an octave lower or working around any high notes and sucking the life out of their own composition, or Jon Bon Jovi doing the "let the crowd sing"-shtick during the chorus of 'Livin' On A Prayer'. Now... McCartney has his luxury that he just can avoid songs in the set of course. And then also still does 'Long Tally Sally' in the same key as in 1964! -

Amen to that. I saw Goo Goo Dolls perform "Iris" on a concert that Palladia aired, and the singer literally sang only the first two words of each line of the choruses, leaving it all up to the audience. Hey, bud -- they paid to hear YOU sing it.

First of all I don't see Paul ever playing anything BUT "With a Little Luck" and "I've Had Enough". I don't believe he or most people would want to see anything else but those two go live. I could see "Old Siam, Sir" "Getting Closer" "Arrow Through Me" "With a Little Luck" "The Back Seat of My Car" "I've Had Enough" "Another Girl" "Hold Me Tight" "When I'm 64" "Martha My Dear" "Love Me Do" "P.S. I Love You" "Eat At Home / Smile Away" "Alligator" "On My Way To Work" "Appreciate" "Looking At Her" "Take It Away" "Bluebird" "Get On the Right Thing" "Ballroom Dancing" "Dress Me Up As a Robber" "Little Lamb Dragonfly" - don't think it's go great live, but would be a nice song for his 12- string mini-set <These are stretching it> "Young Boy" "If You Wanna" "Get Out of My Way" "The World Tonight" "About You" "Somebody Who Cares" Actually making it in to the set... Hate to say it but it's reality. Plus I wouldn't want to see a million solo songs anyways. Also a lot of them wouldn't even go good live
