Because these people were icons in the 60's, that was long time ago - lol. Plus, most of them did not exactly live a healthy life style for many years.
This might not be the right website to remind people that 1967 was 50 long years ago.

Ahhhh but it seems like it was just a short time ago...the Summer of LOVE, and the Monterey Pop Festival., I remember that summer so well. How could 50 years have gone by so quickly.?
I hadn't seen a picture of Yoko in a couple of years, this came as a surprise. The article is wrong, Yoko is 84, not 83.

Most newspapers get stuff like that wrong all the time. I was just reading one where it talked about Hugh Jackman hanging up his claws and that Logan was going to be his last time as Wolverine and they said he was 37! (He was 47 when the article was written and is now 48!)

[quote="oobu24"]Here's someone else in a wheelchair. This is because of bronchitis. http//www.foxnews.com/entertainment/2017/03/30/eric-clapton-seen-in-wheelchair-after-announcing-has-severe-bronchitis.html Wondering if either of the young girls is one of his daughters. Sorry to hear Eric has been ill.

I was working on a bricklaying crew in 1980. We were building a high school at the time. I and the crew stopped into the local caf? for breakfast as usual. Jan and Jim (the owners) knew that I was a big Beatle and John fan. She and Jim told me that John had been killed the night before. The whole crew sat in perfect silence while we ate breakfast and listened to John's music being played by a local FM station through the cafe's sound system. "War Is Over...If We Want It" ~ //oo\\///~~\\\
Ouch! I don't suppose there was a good way to hear the news for any of us. I still remember where I was when I heard it and who told me about it.

For those of us of a certain age it's one of those memories burned into our brains -- like the Kennedy assassination for those a few years older (I do actually remember Kennedy's death, but was too young to understand enough to be be traumatized).

Yeah, I was in 3rd grade when JFK was killed. I just kept asking my mom when they were going to put the cartoons back on the TV! Then a little over 2 months later I went through early puberty when I discovered the Beatles!
John was a different story. I was 25 and cried for 2 weeks! Absolutely devastated!

Yoko looks real cute in that wheelchair pic. All cozy and bundled up. Her complexion looks good from what I could see. Does anyone know why she has to use a wheelchair?

Wanted to get a better seat somewhere? j/k Nothing was said as to why. Could have been a bad day...sore knees...who knows.

Yes, I'm sure she can still walk, usually
