Crowdsurge BITES!
-
No tickets for me. After 20 minutes of continuously being redirected to the WRONG venue on three different computers... by the time it fixed itself, there were no decent tickets left. Thanks a lot, Crowdsurge. You only had to keep tabs on three events and you couldn't even do that right.

I had quite a few complaints about CrowdSurge, but I've got to admit what happened earlier today to the fans in the US was much worse. I hope you will all be able to find a solution and get tickets to the shows you want to go to.

^^ Amen! They suck really BAD! It was heartily disappointing. I am over it right now, but I am not going to try to see Sir Paul this tour due to the horrible experience. It is just that everytime I try to get to see him something goes wrong, so I give up. Maybe one day a miracle will occur, but I am not going to bet on it.
Peace & Love.

I agree. Bad experience. Wonder if they have a yelp page to review them on.

A massive waste of time.

Agree. Crowdsurge really let me down. I tried right at 10 (not before!).. and didn't get into queue until at least 10:06. Received "502 Bad Gateway" message until then. So after the queue, I starred at the spinny ball for about an hour.. Then decided to open a new window, got in instantly only to find nothing. I had good luck with Crowdsurge in Pittsburgh 2010.. certainly not this time around!

I dislike ticketmaster and their fees but at least their links go to the relevant show. Actually I need to go check I haven't bought one direction tickets.... Seriously though, getting tickets is already stressful enough without this. I think paid membership should be brought back so that actual fans and not the touts get the tickets first

This was the worst ticketing experience I have ever had...no exaggeration. Poorly handled and carried out. Not gonna lie, I'm salty over this one!

As an IT (database) professional for a Fortune 500 company here in Memphis, the configuration of the crowdsurge site leaves a ton to be desired. I don't think they are using server balancing, weblogic pools, and enough secure database connections. I had major problems with them the one and only time I used them (Nashville). I swore never again. Used TM and had no issues for the Gold VIP seats last year for Memphis. Paul, if he contracts this outfit to do the site, needs to hire his own IT department. Just my two cents.

Same here
Spent two hours this morning trying to get tickets. Good luck to everyone in the other sales!!

Ended up with tickets in the wrong city. Luckily, I can still make it to the show, but pretty creepy when the links are taking you to the wrong show.

What exactly is paulmccartney.com doing to help those who were cheated by Crowdsurge?

I agree with a previous post. PM.com should go back to being paid membership. All anybody has to do to become a member is enter a valid e-mail address? That is just insulting to the rest of us. I also don't like tickmaster fees, but I will take that over the crap with crowdsurge any day. I was sooo pissed yesterday! Same thing I kept trying to get into Albany & kept getting kicked into Pittsburgh. By the time I got in...

It really is hard to disagree with you, many artists have paid sites that most fans join just for the convenience of buying tickets ahead of the touts,i still find it ridiculous that they ended that option over at Paul's site, this sort of thing shouldnt be happening nowadays in my view.

Posted this on another thread, but it really belongs here: Crowdsurge's response to me telling them at least four people I know of were redirected to the wrong site was that they have no more tickets for that venue. They hoped that their response was satisfactory because customer service is important to them. I somehow don't believe that. Boiled down that answer is "tough luck, now go away". The redirect was done on purpose to give scalpers the advantage. Additional comments: I am a programmer. There is no excuse for this to happen. I have been buying concert tickets for decades now. I understand and accept that shows sell out quickly. This time and a few others you could see that the advantage was given to scalpers. They do not care what city they get their tickets for. They knew that real people would have to get out and try again to get the venue they wanted. That gave the scalpers time to buy the good seats while we were running around in cyberworld trying to get to the correct place. We weren't asking for front row. Just a fair chance at a decent seat (or in some cases, any seat).

Right. I could understand if I missed out on tickets solely because so many people were trying to get tickets and I just missed out because of demand. That happens, nothing you can do about that. But I at least want a fair chance - which is all I ask. And now we are hearing of people who didn't realize they were sent to the wrong venue until AFTER they purchased tickets... I wonder how many people have purchased tickets to the wrong venue and haven't even noticed yet? Could you see somebody who thought they purchased tickets to the Pittsburgh venue actually going to Pittsburgh the day of the event and getting turned away at the door because they find out it's Albany?!

Let me start by saying I totally understand everyone's frustration and I'm sorry yesterday's presale turned into a disaster for many people and they weren't able to get tickets.
That being said even when Paul had a paid membership non paying people were still able to get presale tickets just by signing up for the email list etc. I didn't have a paid membership until very late 2011 and I was able to get presale tickets from Paul's site in 2010 and 2011 but there weren't as many issues back then so I think there is more to the problem here than a paid membership. One of them being that Crowd Surge is getting worse over the years and need to be tons more organized when it comes to presales and know there will be heavy traffic on their site during such events.

I just got two extra tickets with ticketmaster. It was weird, I clicked on the Albany dates and it didn't take me to the New Orleans OR the Pittsburgh shows. It was like ticketmaster were completely competent and knew what they were doing. AND! When it said there were tickets available in the section shown, there actually were! So strange.

Nope, Lower section. There were floor seats available but it was way in the back. I got the VIP ones yesterday.
