When will the masses stop allowing themselves to be fished in by media hype? I've been listening to The Beatles on internet radio-stations for over a decade. Is Spotify that much of a game-changer? :

        No. Money for the Beatles.

The difference is that Spotify is an on-demand streaming service, which isn't the case with Pandora or internet radio stations.

Duly noted. However, I still don't see the need for all the hype. The media is acting like Russians getting a hold of Beatle bootlegs in the '60s.

Paul McCartney explained about his 1989 tour and Visa (credit card company) underwriting his tour, "If they don't like it, tell him to go to Russia."

Hype is what sells. People buy what they're told to buy.

I listen to Beatles radio too. With the Amazon Prime streaming, I can listen to whatever song/album I want, when I want. Beatles radio is so random.

Nance, I love the random!.... It's like I've got every episode of Get smart on call, but I rarely pull it out of its "special" case, cos I can never work out which episode I want to watch.... but when it's on (cable) TV, I will watch it every time... cos it is random... I have no choice.... I don't have to make a call on which disc to pull out of the cover....And I love it every time!.... same with the Beatles!.... I just LOVE the random....

I don't mind random if it is truly a Beatles song. But sometimes they play other artists doing Beatles covers and I don't want to hear that!

Didn't realise that channel (that's an antiquated word) played artists doing Beatles' covers!.... fair enough.... hard enough watching all those "New Revelation" Beatles docos on cable with "pretend" Beatles music cos they aren't allowed to use the real thing.

On my cellphone, I have a Beatles Radio App. When I click on it, there are 11 different stations I can flip through! Some also play Beatles related stuff, like right now the Julian song Saltwater is on the "Best of the Beatles Ludwig Radio.com station! They also play solo songs like George's Let It Roll is on 100 Beatles Radionomy.
