Ok...so that video made me cry tears of joy. To know that there is a musician as popular and big as Paul McCartney, spontaneously bringing up 3 children who know all the words to all his songs - it makes me feel like anything is possible, like there is justice in the world.
that's why i love paul mccartney. -
To me the true heros of this thread are The Triplets, Lindafan, Podgie and his friends Sue and Chris. And I love the miracle they created all together. It made me happy, although I am not part of it at all. A wonderful Christmas time to you all.

We are sure most of you here already know how nice PodgeTheBear is, but just in case anyone needs a reminder...After reading our post, Podgie contacted us and sent us the photos in the appropriate resolutions for printing. Not only that, Podgie also sent two more photos of the triplets and Andre Gardner, while he had them on the air. We were Stunned!!! I explained to Podgie that our family has a holiday tradition that each person brings a Christmas story to the table. This is my Christmas story this year! A heartfelt thank you to Podgie for giving the triplets these photos, and for giving me my Christmas story! A very happy Christmas to Podgie (Father Christmas) Monkey! Triplets Love Paul

The triplets aunt made their suits. She is a costume designer. It took her longer to gather the materials that she wanted then it did to make the suits. It took her about a week once she started. She is a perfectionist! She brought everything down to scale for the triplets size, instead of leaving it at what would have been appropriate for Paul McCartney's size. She did a tremendous amount of hand-sewing with the silver and black. She even hand embroidered each child's name in their jackets. Even the large gold military button is authentic from the period. The triplets asked her to make the suits for them. She knew how much it meant to them. It was a true labor of love for her.

Thank you so much for posting this lindafan! It was very sweet of you! We hope that anyone who watches this realizes that this a small glimpse into a window of Paul McCartney's soul. It gives you a true sense of just how kind he is. He didn't do this for Make A Wish, charity, private pay or publicity. The only cameras rolling were his own. I wondered then, and still now, just how many men of his wealth and fame, possession of power, and magnitude of status would bend down before three children to play for them merely because he could see they love him. There are not many, if any, who would ever dream of doing such a thing. For one brief moment in time, Paul McCartney allowed not only our children to touch his life, but all of us who were there to see it as well. What a world this would be if all of our heroes gave so generously and lovingly! Triplets Love Paul
Triplets Love Paul, I too live in the Philadelphia area and was lucky enough to attend the same show. While the whole show was so memorable, your triplets at the end was just "icing on one of the most delicious cakes" I had ever witnessed. It's great to have this on video! My seats were a good distance away, so I couldn't quite see Paul's reactions/interplay with the kids as these "close ups" show us. He truly is a down to earth musical genius who hasn't forgotten his roots.

I've just read over the posts in this thread, lindafan's thoughts on Karma, wunjo's thoughts on heroes and a miracle, tears of joy, Podgie's thoughtfulness, just the loving feelings expressed here in general. Given the openness of feelings, and the season, I think it may be the right time to share something personal with all of you that have visited this thread. I hope that all of you make it back here to read this. I believe it will really alter the way that you think. The triplets discovered Paul McCartney at two and one half years old. They were head-over-heels in love with him by the age of three. To this day, he is without question their favorite person on the face of the earth. Simply put, for the triplets, the sun rises and sets through Paul McCartney. The only wish they ever expressed, the only dream they've ever had, was to meet Paul McCartney. I explained that would never, ever be possible, and the reasons why. During our children's fourth year well-check, their pediatrician discovered that Joseph had what he believed to be a very rare type of tumor. He sent us to Children's Hospital. He was correct in his findings. Although the tumor is not malignant, it is one that very often kills children, as it is generally discovered later in age. It attacks the facial area, the ear, the neck, the brain and scull. My son has undergone numerous surgeries over the years, which included the removal and reattachment of this ear, and the opening of his scull. He has permanent hearing loss in his right ear due to it. It has been horrific! The hospital offered to put us in touch with Make A Wish. I declined the offer. Night after night, after everyone went to sleep, I would tip-toe downstairs. Alone, in the quiet, I would pray that Paul McCartney would tour, so that my son would get to see him before be died. I never imagined my children meeting him. When that night in Philly came, and Paul brought my children on that stage, I knew then and there that I'd never be the same. I knew there was divine intervention. I knew that miracles do happen, Karma does exist. To this day, we've never told Paul McCartney about Joseph, and what he has done for him, not even in our thank you letter to him. Sir Paul gave the triplets a picture of them with him on stage. He addressed it to them, wrote a message, and signed it. Every night my son stops to stare at that picture. I once asked him what he was thinking about while looking at the picture. He said "do you think if Paul dies before I do he'll take care of me until you get to heaven?" On another ocassion, I asked him what he was thinking while looking at the picture, he said "you know, if I do die, the only dream I ever had came true." I have never again asked him what he's thinking while looking at the picture. Paul McCartney personally taught my children that anything is possible. He taught them that any dream you can imagine can come true. He personally showed them that when you openly give love, you receive love. Paul McCartney is the hero here. He is my children's hero. He is my hero. There is a special place in heaven for Paul McCartney. For those that may be interested, Joseph is checked every four months for tumor regrowth. As of October, he has been tumor free for one year. It is a very good sign. We hope everyone is enjoying a wonderful holiday season. We think it is very special that so many of you have openly expressed your feelings. That doesn't happen very often. It's difficult to take that chance, but when you do, it really feels good!

Thank you for sharing this. Of course I didn't know about this, but I visited this thread lots of times (without replying to it) because I felt there was something special about it. Something more special than Paul just being kind to the Triplets. And your story confirmed it. It was magical. There was divine intervention. It was a miracle. And to me you are a hero, because your prayer made their dream come true. I just don't know what to say at the moment. Your children are very special. I wish you and your Triplets and the rest of your family lots of love, light and joy and especially a very healthy 2008. Give them a hug, especially that very brave Joseph boy of yours.

I am with you wunjo. There is something very special about the stories posted here. The triplets and their parents are amazing.None of this would have been possible without the kindness of Paul McCartney and the true beauty of TLP's mom. The miracle is here and I feel blessed to be near it.
