              he was a great screen writer as well "Allo Allo" being his most famous and of course "Are you being served?" think "Hard Days Night" was his first role though.

                Saw an old British comedy just the other day. School For Scoundrels. Jeremy Lloyd in a small part as a schoolboy. And here's a Beatles reference...the female lead, Janette Scott is the daughter of Thora Hird. Thora Hird starred in an old show called, Meet The Wife. Yes, as in "Time for tea...and Meet The Wife." 😉
