Happy Birthday George Harrison
-
Hi John, Yes epic song "Wooden Ships"! I thought someone would get my reference with the line "who won?" LOL Nice to meet you! I think we need a "Who's Who" section where people can tell a bit about who they are etc. I'm not sure if such a thing already exists on this site somewhere as I haven't explored all of the avenues.

The Beach Boys' Mike Love has written a song for George's birthday! Happy 71st George. http://www.rollingstone.com/music/news/beach-boys-mike-love-honors-george-harrison-with-unreleased-track-20140225
The song is called "Pisces Brothers" because Mike Love's birthday is Mar. 15, 1941. I think they celebrated their birthdays in India. (I met Mike & the rest of the Beach Boys in Atlanta in 197
Hi NancyR! So, you met Mike Love? I met Mike in L.A. in 1981, I met the late Dennis Wilson first, I became great friends with Denny till the day he died in December 1983. As for Mike, I never got along with him. How well did you get along with Mike?
Pretty well! We even exchanged letters & phone calls for a while (I met Denny too, and Carl, Al, Bruce. Everyone but Brian. He was a recluse then.) Did you see the photo I posted above? I edited the post to add it, so you may have missed it.
I see it! That's a nice picture of you. I'm glad that you got along with him better than I did. Mike always treated me bad, I even got into a fist fight with him.
Please tell me you're a guy! And did you win?

You mean, should I have been sitting on his lap? He just got onto mine for the pic!
If you had been sitting on his lap, I would imagine the conversation would have gone from small talk to the first thing that popped up.

I think I'm a guy, yes I am! Unfortunately, it was a tie, a 20 year old and a 40 year old tied!

It would appear that "Love" was in the air that day! Nice pic!
Should you have been sitting on his lap dear?
You mean, should I have been sitting on his lap? He just got onto mine for the pic!
Exactly! Its a lot better than him jumping into your lap!
I was a semi-shy 23 year old and was just sitting there and when the guy got ready to take the pic, Mike just threw his legs over my lap!

Sorry, don't know how to make it larger. Originally I had scanned the photo into my computer and that's how it turned out. I don't even have a working scanner any more. If anyone can tell me how to enlarge it, let me know.

I think the easiest way to enlarge it now would be to bring it into Paint (on a Windows system) and click on the "Resize" button. This lets you specify a resize percent like 300 or 400. If it was scanned with enough resolution (the DPI setting you used on the scan) it should still look OK. If you're on a Mac I'm not sure how to do it as I'm fairly new to Macs. There are also lots of free on-line image resizing tools like this one: http://reshade.com

Would have been George's 77th birthday. His sister Louise told us at a Beatles convention in Atlanta in 1995 that he was born at 12:10 am on the 25th. Photobucket won't load, so in 12 hours if it's working I'll post a pic of his birth certificate. Everyone is arguing on Facebook!

oliviaharrison posted on Instagram yesterday: This beautiful man, born about now even though he always celebrated on Feb 25th. It was war time and clocks went back an hour for lights out or blackout blinds down, so it was 24th and 25th. Pisces, duality, elusive, wonderful. Happy Birthday George.

Photobucket still won't load. 🤬
