What did Yoko have that Cynthia didn't?

^^ another classy story. : I should have known this thread was going to turn into stereotyping women in some sort of base way. That is what women in "cat houses" are paid to do. To please their customers. Those girls were someone's daughters, wives, mothers, sisters. I am sure Yoko was much more than a hot piece of ass to John. He had plenty of that but married Yoko.
Let me re-phrase it this way, Japanese women are classy and great in bed. Japanese women do not have to work in the cat house to please their men, Japanese women take care of their men no matter where they work.

I'm sure most of us have made bad choices in a partner at one time or another. That's life!
Not me. Well, unless you include all of them.
Now that is the comment of the day!

Even Cynthia said she felt John and Yoko were a match and complemented each other well, that they seemed to belong together. Cynthia went on to get married several times, so she obviously "had something" too.
Poor choices in men?
I believe I knew in my heart not to get involved in this thread. But I did anyway and regret it. Cynthia is Julian's beloved Mom, and she shouldn't be disrespected in anyway. She is in Heaven. I am out of here.
Chill girl! Just a dumb joke! I'm sure most of us have made bad choices in a partner at one time or another. That's life! And btw, I really liked Cynthia and thought she was a fantastic mother to Julian. For the record, she had 5 serious relationships: John Lennon Roberto Bassanini, married 1970-1973 John Twist, married 1976-1981 Jim Christie, 1982-1999 (never married) Noel Charles, 2002-2015 Apr.1 (her death)
Well, her first choice was John, so that argument doesn't hold water.
John was ultimately a poor choice for her though. I know she loved him, but was she really happy the years she was with him?
Was Yoko happy with him? He was her third husband. I think only when she controlled him. Yoko had financial reasons for needing John. Is that love? Remember Cynthia said Yoko would stand all day sometimes and stare at their house, followed John to events that she heard he would attend, even waited one night out in the cold until Cyn and John came out of a show and jumped into their cab between them. Tony Bramwell said she and her husband were about to be evicted from their flat in London because neither had jobs. All this to say she eventually wore John down, appearing everywhere, until he relented. In Tony's words at AROTR when I asked who pursued whom: She STALKED him un-relentlessly! She was astute to notice how antsy he was and she provided the "something new and different" with insight into a culture he had not been involved with and found mentally stimulating, I would imagine. Still, her narcissistic plan disrespected Cynthia and Julian on a low level that most would never even imagine.

All that is true and I agree with you completely! (Except she stalked him relentlessly or unrelentingly, not "un-relentlessly.") She tried Paul first you know, and he referred her to John! Remember, they met in Nov. 1966 and didn't really "get together" until the spring of 1968 (after India) so she had plenty of time to "work on him!"

I was just quoting Tony. She worked on him while he was in India, too. Sent him mail every day, or quite often.

Loving women and respecting women are two extremely different concepts.

I read, too, that Paul met Yoko first and he "referred" her to John. (Saw a post earlier that mentioned it.) If he did then I am happy for John and Yoko. Thank you, Sir Paul.â¤ï¸ð??
-
Paul also helped get John and Yoko back together in 1974. He took a message to John from Yoko about what she expected if he wanted to get back together. He took John aside and talked to him about getting back with Yoko. Based on the wild (and dangerous) atmosphere of his "lost weekend", it was what was best for John.

Yoko showed up on Paul's doorstep in London and he actually invited her in, but like I said earlier, sent her on her way with a referral to try John.

Did you know, though, that he continued to see May Pang in NY for awhile after he went back to the Dakota with Yoko? I feel sorry for May. She truly fell in love with John, and I think he loved her too (in his own way) Sorry, but I'm not a fan of Yoko.

Admin Post Hello everyone, The moderating team kindly requests that members please return to topic. Thank you.
The topic is comparing a Japanese woman with a British woman. On the internet, that means someone is bound to say something horribly racist. Maybe we're lucky it's only been one person so far.

She wanted him to sponsor (cough: fund) her show. Paul declined and said maybe John would help. Initially, that sputtered out very quickly.
