Not certain but I have a feeling George gave Something to Joe before the Fabs version was recorded, even played on the session. But Joe sat on it, and his version came out after Abbey Road. A wealth of fine songs has Joe. Hard to believe I'll never see him wailing away again. RIP

This is a very tough loss. First Jack Bruce now Joe. It just occurred to me that he was just 25 when he did Woodstock. His version of A Little Help from My Friends will forever to tied to The Wonder Years. He did a great version of She Came In Though the Bathroom Window and did an amazing job on Billy Preston's 'You Are So Beautiful.' This decade is going to only get harder on classic rock icons.

Forgot about "Bathroom Window." Yes, he did a good job with that, too.

Joe Cocker's Beatles covers were among relatively few cover versions that I've always liked a lot. He brought something totally unique to each one.

I believe that's true....or at least I have heard the same thing regarding "Something". I really liked Cocker's (grittier) versions of "With A Little Help From My Friends"...he sorta made it his song....I said sorta....and "She Came In Through The Bathroom Window". I really loved his vocal on "You Are So Beautiful To Me", especially the missed note at the end. Didn't know he lived in Colorado!!!

Really sad to hear of his leaving us here, but to go to a better place. I always loved "The Letter."

                      God bless Joe!

Joe Cocker also did a great, soulful version of 'Maybe I'm Amazed'. RIP.

First a very late RIP. Second, I feel your comments will be sadly accurate Metalgod.
