wunjo.. you're allowed to express an opinion.. AND so is everyone else do you want everyone to agree with you? I think feact did. but you talk about the 'reactions' which clearly have upset you these are the ones i found

      DCBeatle64:

dont blame Paul for it. Dont forget this is a benefit concert and is setting out to make cash. For such a small venue it needs the big bucks to be spent. Also remember that this is only the vip package or one of them at least. When you are after that type of money you can get it for those people. Have faith

      CAA:

The David Lynch organization undoubtedly came up with that VIP price *precisely* because they had signed Paul to headline the show. Their point is to raise money and with Paul's participation, they can command very high prices. Paul is NOT setting the ticket prices.

      DennyC:

Like anything else, if you can't afford to go, you don't. It's still a benefit, he won't be the only one on the bill. Are some of you going to Sheryl Crow's and Ringo's website and calling them out on it.

      femaleanimal:

Most of us on this board can`t afford to go to any of the planned shows because we can`t afford the plane ticket, hotel, etc. That`s life. Paul`s fans really do whine alot.

i don't see what the problem is not even your name is mentioned. you're dismayed about the price of these very exclusive group ticket prices? didn't Paul give, not one, but three FREE concerts a year and a half ago? relax. or don't. but..in my opinion, you're acting a little childish

I do support many charitys without McCartney's involvement. I don't need to see Paul to support a charity. I can say more but I won't.

Nobody said you have to support every charity Paul supports, and if you can't afford, do what the rest of the fans will do, watch it on you-tube. Some concerts are benefits and some are not. This one is, ticket prices will be higher. tickets to events, concerts, sporting events are thru the roof. Appletart has a good point, support local musicans and teams. there's plenty of music out there, no need for anger. meanwhile just this package went on sale, nothing else. One post said the GA tickets are going to 90.00. That's a bargain today. Relax and wait for the tickets to actually go on sale then slam him. Nobody is gouging anyone. If you can't afford the prices or don't believe in the cause you simply don't go.

Paul is volunteering his time. So no should be blaming him. However he should control these guys from exploiting him and his fans. Too many rich ruin things for everyone. Look at the sports players ruining average kids from getting to attend there games. Everything good gets ruined by greed. Paul should stipulate," no greed allowed in marketing me". Ticketmaster? the day the music died!

so what should the price be?. Who should determine it. Who's budget should it fit? It will always be out of reach for some, and within the reach of others. People go to benefits all the time, artists perform at them. Someone posted they went to the AAM concerts and paid a hefty price for it. I hope they enjoyed it, it's a great cause and the money went to clear minefields. fans don't necessarily go to these events, many are people who believe in the cause.

Well good point. Has any prices been revealed and if so where. I?m hearing 100,000 for VIP?s. That sends a message of exclusiveness. If exclusiveness is the point than why doesn't David Lynch just have it at his house and tell all his rich buddies he having the gang over for dinner and you can get invited for this amount. Promote it among the NY jet set that Paul?s a part of. Why promote it to eager fans only to dash there hopes. How much do you think Paul spent on a charity ticket (not including his own charity) We know he got to cut to the front of the line for Led Zeppelin (lottery only) concert. I bet he didn't even pay for those tickets. This is a good cause but it not like your feeding the starving . Its to teach meditation to kids. Great concept but if there the kind of kid I was, they?ll be thrown out of class on the first day or there teacher will have to medicate to teach the class. I mean get real!

many kids meditate at school, and if they don't many should. so don't support it if you don't believe in it. Paul's raised and donated plenty of money. Did he cut the line at the led zepplin show, maybe. You have no idea if he donated the money for the ticket or not. why can't it be "exclusives" and "regular" people. We dont know what the prices are. It's not heavily promoted either, most people don't even know about it. Which is better actually, easier to get a ticket. Maybe David doesn't want a whole bunch of stangers or jetseters messing up his house. lol there's a lot jumping to conclusions on the access to this concert.

I think some people on this thread should contain themselves, sign off for a while, and try some meditation themselves.

I just want a couple damm tickets at a fair price. I want to see Donovan as much as Paul and Sheryl. This would be my perfect combo. I'll keep my hopes up and if there dashed do to big spender who could afford to buy a private concert with these guys than so be it Alas I'll go to utube?? and watch it. save a few buck too. just not the same. : I agree about opening his house to jet setter. There goes the silverware.

I think part of the problem is the lack of specific information. This concert was announced back in early February, it's now March, and no information *at all* about the ticket pricing has been officially released. It's got nothing to do with Paul setting any prices. I am sure there are some fans who were interested in attending this show, but now that Paul is playing Vegas, cannot do both and are therefore not going to attend this benefit. The charity is losing ticket sales and donations by not providing any information. I bet there are also Eddie Vedder and Sheryl Crow fans who are anxious to learn the ticket prices but who can't wait much longer to make plans, etc. A poster above mentioned general public tickets priced at $90 - that's actually pretty reasonable for a charity event, given that many concert tickets NOT sold for charity cost $90 or more these days. Sure those tickets will not be the premium seats, but they will get you in the door. It just would be nice to have some formal details.

If those prices are correct, I'm kind a glad they priced me right out of the game - I can't miss one of my classes and if it (the concert and subsequent possible meet and greet) were more affordable, I may have made and irresponsible choice

I emailed the David Lynch Foundation who just got back to me saying they will be offering a pre sale window to people who have signed up, before the tickets are offered to the public. They didn't say when that would be, but that's actually the same info that we got when we originally registered. So I am patiently waiting. I really appreciate that they will be doing that for us. That's pretty amazing that we have an early opportunity like that.
