Amazon UK has the American versions of the albums (all pre-Sgt. Pepper, of course, except for Hey Jude) as being released in January 2014: http://www.amazon.co.uk/s/ref=nb_sb_noss_1?url=search-alias%3Dpopular&field-keywords=beatles (scroll to bottom)

Thanks for posting that link. That's great news. Hopefully, they reissue Yesterday and Today with the Butcher Cover.

Yes! Or better yet, both covers so you can choose which to display

I doubt very seriously if they'd do that. Would be cool though!

Most of these are already available on Capitol albums 1 and 2 , although strangely not Yesterday and Today It stops at Rubber Soul... P.s. i thought Hard Days Night was a United Artists release. The strikes me as a bizarre re-release.Re-mastered again ?

In the U.S., yes, A Hard Day's Night was a United Artists release, so that's weird.

Perhaps the rights have reverted back to Capitol /EMI/Universal or whoever holds the rights now to the The Beatles recordings because of alot of rights under different laws in different countries are expiring due to I thlnk a 50 years limitation period. It is all very complex but there is something happening with copyright controls because of this. ActuallyI just read that United Artists Records was actually purchased by EMI back in 1979. In fact I just remembered I have AHDN US version on vinyl with a Capitol label. Also Magical Mystery Tour should of been a included in Capitol US albums re-releases but of course it has been absorbed into the core catalogue. I guess they could reason it was officially released on EMI Parlophone as early I think as 1973.

Listen to the song they sing,
                      Awakening

It's official! http://www.thebeatles.com/news/ladies-and-gentlemen-beatles All in stereo and mono, except for "Hey Jude" and "The Beatles Story", which are in stereo only. All released individually at first, except "Story", which is only in the box. "Yesterday and Today" will have the butcher cover, and a card inside with the trunk cover. Amazon US link here: http://www.amazon.com/dp/B00H8XF9I0?tag=ilovethatsong-20 And the individual ones are there also. The question is: have they been re-remastered since the 2004-2006 boxes from '64-'65?

so Paul actually let the butcher cover come out? I would of thought that Paul would of never let that happen now.... that still just shocks me... if paul didn't know about it, that might spark something.... EDIT: forgot to mention this before, but still no live at Hollywood bowl remaster? wouldn't that be something that would fit in the collection well??

I still find it bizarre that back in the days of the Greatest Band that there were different releases happening between the US and the UK (and by extension us in Oz).... All legalities, I am sure.... We followed the way of the UK... so all the albums I bought were to the UK order...it's a convict thing...I do love that they are recognising the Butcher Cover on the re-release of the US albums. I do wonder if there is a hidden photo underneath if you put a steamer to the cover.

http://wogew.blogspot.com/2013/12/the-us-mixes.html Looks like they're not using ALL of the U.S. mixes for this project (some will be the 2009 UK remasters). Strange decision. Shouldn't they sound like the albums American fans grew up with? On the other hand, this means that the 2004 and 2006 Capitol boxes still have value.

Most certainly must haves will be Yesterday and Today with the "Butcher Cover" and some different mixes from the original versions, The Beatles Story never before on CD (this is a Documentary for those who have never heard it or heard of it - long out of print, it was a Capitol double LP in '64), and Hey Jude for the cover alone.

Wings Over America - Cow Palace SF - June 1976. New World Tour - Anaheim Stadium - 4/17/93. Driving USA - Oakland Arena - 4/1/2002. US Tour - HP Pavilion - San Jose - 11/08/05. An Evening with Paul McCartney - The Joint at Hard Rock - Las Vegas - 4/19/09. Up & Coming Tour - Hollywood Bowl - 3/31/10. Walk of Fame Star Presentation - Hollywood - Feb. 2012. CBS-TV taping - The Night That Changed America (with Ringo!)  - L.A. Convention Center - Jan. 2014. Out There Tour -Dodger Stadium - Los Angeles - Aug. '14 and Petco Park - San Diego - Sept. '14. Petco Park - San Diego - June 2019.  Got Back Tour - SoFi Stadium - Los Angeles - May 2022

Decades ago, I painstakingly took all of the four Beatles' sound bites (minus the interviewers' questions) off of "The Beatles' Story" album and put them on cassette with some other rarities and unreleased songs. When I played the tape for people, there would be a confused moment when they heard Ringo say, "No, George's is longer than mine," until they heard him continue, "Yeah, mine's a scruffy mess!" (Yes, it's about their haircuts! ops: ) I haven't heard the rest of that album in ages!
