Favorite Beatle line has to be "And in the end, the love you take is equal to the love you make."

That is the ultimate. So poignant. On the last album. At the end. Just a brilliant encapsulation of it all. But, boy, John sure put out a couple of beauties shortly afterwards. "How can I go forward when I don't know which way I'm facing?" These might not be my favorite but they are some of the more powerful lyrics ever written by a Beatle: The song "God" which I think is a gem.... even if sad and confronting....and I'm not even sure what this lyric exactly means, but..... "God is a concept by which we measure our pain" "The dream is over"..... sad to hear, and every time i hear it, it kicks my guts, but in context, what a powerful lyric. "I don't believe in Beatles.... I just believe in me." That one is a powerful lyric. I am sure I can think of a lot more later. Happier ones.

Too many hungry people losing weight. (Too Many People - Ram)

"If you want the Beatles, go see Wings"-George Harrison 1974

"This is for all the Wings fans!" - McCartney introducing "1985" for the first time on American soil (Phoenix 2010)

Yes! That has to be one of the greatest lyric lines ever written. And, the spirit it was delivered in...is perfect! There are so many with such a broad range of feelings! It makes me very thankful, humbled and happy! Eight Days A Week is one of the most beautiful and lyrically and spirit perfect songs ever recorded as well. I feel overwhelmingly blessed to have been a teenager when that song came out. "And, In The End The Love You Take Is Equal To The Love You Make" (Create) Which reminds me of The Moody Blues Lyric... "And, when you stop and think about it, you won't believe it's true, that all the love you've been giving, has all been meant for You"

The Moody Blues is probably my 2nd favorite band after The Beatles! Have all their albums in vinyl and then just bought a double CD of their greatest hits. I think Paul's most perfectly crafted Beatles song is Here, There and Everywhere. I agree with you totally about Eight Days A Week! Love it!

So many to choose from, but here's a verse from John that seems like it could have been written for the So-Called President: You can go to church and sing a hymn And judge me by the color of my skin You can live a lie until you die But one thing you can't hide Is when you're crippled inside

"The only true patriotism, the only rational patriotism is loyalty to the nation all the time, loyalty to government when it deserves it."

And from Paul, the lines that got me through my dad's death: On the day that I day, I'd like jokes to be told And stories of old To be rolled out like carpets That children have played on, and laid on While listening to stories of old Dad never heard that song, but I think he'd have appreciated it. I just listened to that in the car on the way home from work and thought of my dad too (4/17/1926 - 1/6/2016) Brought a tear to my eye.
