Oh my gosh. Thanks HaileyMcComet! I just finished Carrie Fisher's last book, mostly about her affair with Harrison Ford, and the latest bio on George Lucas. Both reveal great insights into the human side of each of them, not just their craft. I would love to get my hands on one of the old Return of the Jedi videos, well all three of the originals, before Geo Lucas made them so cartoon-like in certain places. And before he edited it so the bounty hunter shot first.
My niece and nephew gave me Carrie's new book for Christmas, but I haven't been able to pick it up and start reading it yet. I'm still so sad she's gone. I did get to meet her beloved Gary a few weeks ago though, such a sweet pup. I have the originals somewhere back home, I should look for them when I'm back there next month. TNT was showing the original Star Wars trilogy this past weekend and I had forgotten they put in young Anakin at the end of Return of the Jedi reboot, boo!

I've got to check which I have in VHS and/or DVD. I think one got lent to someone by one of my kids and never returned.
Hope you get those back. Wish I had known Lucas was going to keep tweaking them and messing up parts. Would have bought all of the original three way back when.
I'm missing part III, The Return of the Jedi, in DVD!

Boo, indeed! Sigh. Lucas kept tweaking and not for the good.

Obviously that was a typo. I meant missing Part III, but III is Revenge of the Sith! I have to look again and see if I do have IV, V and VI.

I'm only two songs through it.... and it is brilliant. My favorite band and my favorite movie combined. Brilliant.

You're welcome. Carrie Fisher was a wonderful writer. Surrender the Pink is funny and terrifying at the same time.
I had read Postcards From the Edge and Wishful Drinking years ago. They were both really good.

I just found a copy of SW III on eBay that matches the first two (DVD widescreen) for only $5.53 including shipping and they say it is in very good condition.

The structural differences between the book and movie show that she really knew what she was doing. Postcards From the Edge, that is.
