Vanity Fair article on US invasion in '64

http://www.vanityfair.com/culture/2013/12/beatles-books-british-invasion Unfortunately, he gets the date of their first Ed Sullivan appearance wrong by twelve days: on the 21st they were flying from Miami to London. And the sub-headline promises a review of a flurry of new books on the 50th anniversary, but he only discusses one at any length, then glances at another before quoting extensively from Albert Goldman's Lennon book from the eighties! Plus, his final summary sentence steals liberally from the very end of Philip Norman's "Shout!" book, in my opinion.

Whoever wrote that need to go back to school! What an idiot!

Other than the date slip, not a bad article though. Funny they got the date of their landing right but the date of the first appearance on Sullivan wrong.
