celebrating the 50th Beatle Anniversary

hi everyone!! I am loving all the attention the Beatles 50th Anniversary is getting, so many articles and shows going on, to watch and enjoy this historical event.
this weekend at my house we are celebrating by watching The Beatles First US Visit (we watched it last night), tonight we are going to watch one of our favourite movies "I Wanna Hold Your Hand" (a cute movie about teenagers who go to NYC to see the Beatles on Ed Sullivan) and Sunday night, the Grammy Special. Anybody doing anything to celebrate this weekend? -

Anybody doing anything to celebrate this weekend?I'm in Cancun at a 5 day special Beatles 50th Anniversary celebration at the Hard Rock Hotel Riviera Maya. Partied last night with Pete Best, his brother Roag and the rest of the band (there are about 50 of us in the group, but only myself and BeatleBertone were there as Roag had invited me--we first met at the Casbah in Aug. 2011 when I was on a tour there & he actually remembered me!) Had a blast! Tonight and tomorrow is Band On The Run tribute group who will recreate on Sun. night the Beatles on the Ed Sullivan Show.

Celebrated today by going to the John Lennon Art Exhibit being held in Del Mar this weekend coinciding with the 50th Anniversary. Also waiting to see the Grammy Salute again on TV Sunday night! These are good times to love The Beatles!!

God, the part in I Wanna Hold Your Hand where she practically falls out of the car to get to the payphone to answer the trivia question on the radio was so flippin' funny I was ROTFLMAO & APIMP (almost peed in my pants!)
