The turning of the tide

The Turning of the tide As the days began centuries ago The heavens and the universe blessed us with a time frame We were set in motion as souls We glided with ease to the well to begin our karmic journeys Life all natural grew on a physical realm We became living breathing beings sharing a planet We bowed before deities according to our hearts understanding Ou love of the universe and inward desire help us grow. Some became leaders Some became followers Others became tillers of the fields Others became craftsmen building technology. Strife and wars over individual differences began Long before the present millineaum existed. Each one resulted in deeper hatred for one another Each skirmish brought passed on resentment to passed along. People of peace were also present in many generations Spanning over time learning ways to teach a balanced understanding Perhaps it is such a balance that inward we strive. There is only the mirror images of the creators spirit which shines through all. We look up as before the skies were once blue The once held beautiful clouds, birds flying Looking up the moon and the stars lead us on journeys Protected us and all life at evenings dawning Yet the creature of such wonderous natural beauty Left still man kind teachings of various ways Each so that everyone had a way to understand and find the creator in spirit Yet sometimes man forgets that each group finds its own path there We looked around centuries ago. Lands were blessed with creatures of all sorts Put there to share the world we live in Guiding and aiding us any chance available Wonderful tidings are lost through greed Beautiful visions are muddied by hate Yet still the blessings around are still remaining Perhaps they can be stopped from vanishing. The tides of hate, consumed generations before Lessons from historical skirmishes seem to have been lost The youth were and still are repeating the past mistakes Some need to step back and push aside the life ending activitues The lands were once florishing, With lands of milk and honey Beatiful trees blessing us with their fruit Flowers to give the eyes a beautiful presence to make us smile Like a root or pattern the life of war Also takes a turn way from the beauty of life. One side hits the other, both get angry Both want to get even time and time again. Bloodshet replacing life force Each gets angry and wants to hurt the other. The other wants to strike back A cycle runs cold into the ruination of the higher gifts the world was given. Too bad othe competitions which would be more productive Couldn't be used to replace the war of the lands Perhaps one day the tide will turn ina good way Maybe we could recycle our planet. The earth screams out in pain at the damaging wars The skys bleed of choking smells from the fumes Hate fills the hearts for one another Perhaps one can get past it. Still on the other side. There are good people still in the world People who still pray in their own way Others who pray in various groups. I wonder would it all be fine Once the tides begin turning in a positive way We could save the world and its heavenly bestowed gifts. Rather than killing everone ane everything else off. I hope the tide of love and light show The way around the blood shed and war Replacing a heartless path of destruction with life renewed Perhaps once we will Find our way back into the light of our inner souls Once again find our way back to sharing a world Perhaps we see the light we can all learn to live in the planet given while we still have one. by Doris Ridge Mendlovitz

Wow, those are some cool words. You and Susy have both written some good stuff lately, would make great fodder for song lyrics. I love some of the stuff in that Doris, great poem.
