Who was the best drummer in the Beatles?
-
Well, when a journalist asked John if Ringo was the greatest drummer in the world, he supposedly answered, "In the world? He's not even the best drummer in The Beatles!"
Seriously, I never heard enough of Pete Best to say, but I think Ringo is great! Just listen to Abbey Road or Tomorrow Never Knows! (many others as well of course!) And Paul did a fine job filling in on Back In the USSR and others on The White album when Ringo was AWOL.

Yes, I think so. But why do you keep adding new threads with the same or similar titles?

That's nice, Kevin. I would like to read that! Thank you.

thanks for you reply George does feature in the book "The Beatles Living In The Eye Of The Hurricane" the book starts with George who visited his sister Lou in July 1963 in the states, he went around record shops asking for Beatles records but couldn't find any, on his return to England he told john and Paul about his trip to America and that is when John made the now famous quote "Where not going there till we get a No1" you can view some interesting stuff on my website about George, at www.beatlesliverpoolandmore.com but you want find "The Beatles Living In The Eye Of The Hurricane" on Amazon because it is a limited edition of 500 copies only for the first run, which is selling really well at the moment, but we have got future plans to re-print the book as a standard book.
-
Kevin, I still desperately want this book, I went to the site, do you accept any other forms of payment besides PayPal? The PayPal account is actually my estranged husband's, I'd rather send a check, if that's okay. I have sent checks to the UK before, and they went through fine.

**Living in the eye of the Hurricane.**by John Gannon and Kevin Roach Published by Liverpool Authors http://www.beatlesliverpoolandmore.com/reviews--the-beatles-living-in-the-eye-of-the-hurricane.html This book tells the story of perhaps the most turbulent six months in the lives of the Beatles. It covers the period from February to July 1964 - six months in which the Beatles conquered America, toured Australia and New Zealand, made a film, and returned in triumph to Liverpool for a civic reception and the northern premier of "A Hard Day's Night". Although this isn't the first book to cover this period, and probably won't be the last, this offering from Kevin Roach and John Gannon is a treasure trove of information that will delight every Beatles fan.
