I flew my mom in to see Paul in Piedmont Park 2009 and had a great time as she never saw the Beatles growing up. Please share your stories of bringing your parents with you to see a Paul concert!

I went with my dad to a couple of Paul shows: the first was in '02 at the Staples Center and the second time was in 2010 at the Hollywood Bowl. It was special being able to go with the person mainly responsible for turning me on to the music of the Beatles in the first place!

        '02- L.A.'10- L.A., S.F.'11- NYC'12- Vancouver'13- Seattle, JKL'14- L.A., Phoenix, S.F., San Diego'15- Lollapalooza'16- Fresno, Desert Trip (x2)'17- Syracuse, Uniondale (Night 2)'19- San Diego, L.A. '22- Spokane, Seattle (Night 1), L.A.

I've told this before on this board but will share it again because it was a great night for my mom and I! 😉 I took my mom to see Paul in Detroit in 2011. She hadn't been able to see him live since she saw The Beatles in 1964 at the Olympia in Detroit, She was of course up in the nosebleed seats and couldn't even hear them singing because of all the screaming. She is the reason I'm the Beatles/Paul fan I am today. I will never forget her reaction when he came on stage (We had pretty good seats on the lower side that night). And to see her tear up as soon as he started singing "All My Loving" is also something I will never forget. She still talks about that concert! 😉

I took my Mom in '76, '90 and '93. After that she lost interest. '02 my ex-husband bought me the tickets for my birthday and we went together (reciprocated with Springsteen tickets) After that I went alone as I don't know anyone who would pay $1500 for VIP seats.

For the Piedmont Park show, I'd bought the special tickets that allowed you in 1 hour early. We walked over a mile from our hotel and sat outside the entrance for about 3 hours. But they let everyone in at the same time and most folks didn't form a line as we had. My mom was not pleased! But then by the time Paul took the stage, she got very excited. We had maneuvered to about 20 heads back as we didn't bring blankets to sit on, so we were mobile and could squeeze between folks who spread blankets out.

My mom had to take me and friends to see the Beatles back in 64, 65 and 66 as we were too young to go alone and she was the only parent willing to do so. She obviously enjoyed going. So when Paul toured with Wings in 76 I took her to MSG. She was thrilled. Especially with Live and Let Die which was her favorite at the time. Sadly she was too ill to experience Paul again by the time he resumed touring, but I have no doubt she would have gone again had she been able.

My Mom didn't take me to see the Beatles (even though I begged in '66 when I was 11) so I made sure I took my kids to see their favorites: 'N Sync, Backstreet Boys, Hanson, Blink-182.

I really wanted my parents to let me go to the 1993 tour. I was willing to use all of my savings to buy tickets for the whole family. They would have said yes to Cleveland, but he didn't come close enough for them. I'll always regret not figuring out a way to go and hear Paul and Linda together.
