Ugh. Just called to cancel my hotel and move it to the new date. And they raise the price almost $100. I would think the price would go down since it's moved to a week night now instead of the weekend. So, I'm looking for a new hotel. Have you guys booked anything yet?? The good news is, those dates were availalble for me to schedule time off work. Yay!!
I'm not surprised. Atlanta is a very large business and convention town. Rates are almost always higher during the week than on the weekends downtown. Often doubling during the week. There could very well be a large convention in town that week - though I don't know that for sure. There are both an Embassy Suites and a Hilton Garden Inn that overloop Centennial Park right across from the arena. They would be great gets if they are available and not too pricey. There is a Holiday Inn Downtown and a Hampton Inn that are also close by. RamblinRed

Looking at Hotels.com. Right now they are showing Embassy Suites $202 Hilton Garden Inn $129 - Hotels.com special (down from $259). This is a great get. If I didn't live in Atlanta I would grab this one. On Centennial Park across from Georgia Aquarium Holiday Inn Express & Suites $126 Holiday Inn Hotel $135 (can walk right through Centennial Park) Hampton Inn & Suites $178 DoubleTree by Hilton $119 Fairfield Inn & Suites $149 (Underground Atlanta) Aloft Atlanta $169 Hilton Atlanta - $159 The rates are also showing up on other big hotel sites like Priceline and Expedia. I'd book the Hilton Garden Inn, The DoubleTree, The Holiday Inn Hotel or the Holiday Inn Express if you can get them. All of them, are basically right by Centennial Olympic Park which fronts CNN Center and Philips Arena. Those are all good rates for weeknights in downtown Atlanta and all walking distance to the arena through the park which is well lit and safe. RamblinRed

TICKET IS NO LONGER AVAILABLE. THANK YOU have an extra hard copy ticket for Atlanta, Section 102, Row M, seat 1, aisle seat, right next to stage. Paid $292 thru Ticketmaster and will sell for $250. This has the original June date, but since show was rescheduled, the ticket will be honored. Must sell quickly to allow for mailing time. Unfortunately, no. Was originally going to New Orleans, but new date didn't work out for my work schedule
So glad we got Albany in Looks like S.A. after Greensboro, and then a break. Guess we'll see how 2015 pans out. Have a great time in Atlanta, Phil...waiting for all the details!! Say "hi" to the gang. -

What time did the sound check email say to report? I work downtown so I am just going straight from work to the concert. FIgured I might head over to CNN Center early and see if they leave any of the doors ajar so you could hear the soundcheck a little from there. RamblinRed

Check in starts at 4:00, but when the soundcheck starts depends on when he arrives.

Somehow, things came together, cashed in some FF points I forgot I had, heading to Atlanta later today! Albany seems SO LONG ago.
I've got famiy/friends in the area, so accommodations aren't a problem. Was REALLY surprised to pick up 2 decent-ish tickets (sec. 102) just a couple of weeks ago from TM.
