as far as i know, the only song from Press To Play that Sir Paul has performed live was Only Love Remains, and this was a stripped-down version (just piano, vocals, sax) as seen here -

Sadly, when it comes to live versions these days, it's almost like the '80s never happened. I can't think of too many songs Paul's done live over the past decade that he released in the '80s. The only ones I can think of are "Here Today" and "Ebony and Ivory". There are probably a couple more that popped up in a concert somewhere down the road, but not too many. Especially from "Press to Play" - which is one of my favorite albums. That's why I enjoy this video, because you can at least watch him play/sing/talk about some of the material.

Also "Once Upon a Long Ago" was a bonus track when the album was reissued. Here's a "live" version of that, though he's singing to a prerecorded version.

"And your inspiration long may it last..."

          5/31/22 - Knoxville

          7/26/17 - Tinley Park

          7/25/17 - Tinley Park

          8/14/14 - San Francisco

          7/9/14 - Chicago

          7/16/13 - Milwaukee

          7/14/13 - Indianapolis

          5/26/13 - Memphis

          11/11/12 - St. Louis

          7/31/11 - Chicago

I'd love to hear "Press" live. Had Rick Astley came out with such a song it would have been #1, its a damn good pop song, and it doesnt even sound dated, one of his best guitar solos and great vocals. Stranglehold would be another good live track from this record

Stranglehold would be great to hear! I think he did Only Love Remains at a Royal Variety Show.

I don't think Paul considers Press to Play to be a very good album. It did not sell well either. That is probably the reason he doesn't do any of the songs from it live.

Since '02 -- in addition to the two you'd mentioned -- I can only think of "Coming Up" -- and the one-time performance of "In Liverpool" in 2008.

This is why I couldn't give a monkeys these days about seeing his live shows, here we have a great album of songs that will never get a chance to be performed live, why ? I would love to hear Press or Stranglehold etc anyday over any third rate Beatle song ( Ob La Di ) or a solo effort done to death & beyond him ( Jet ). And im sure he would like his next studio album to do as well as Press To Play...Ok at the time it did perform badly for a Macca release......these days here in the UK it would be seen as a good effort.

Paul's biggest hits of the '80s were the duets along with "No More Lonely Nights," "Coming Up" and "Spies Like Us," the last one not being a good choice for concerts. I would still love for him to perform the minor '80s hits like "So Bad" and "Pipes Of Peace."

There is a live version of Stranglehold that has been recorded while recording the video clip. It's a genuine live version, performed for the audience that was attending the recording. Apart from Only Love Remains, you can see Paul performing guitar (live, not mimed) over the "Press" album track. This can be found in the 1986 special.

Download links are a no-no, but you could upload it to YouTube and share that link with us. This is a must-hear for me.

                                    Maybe I'm amazed !!

Continuing the logic of "Paul wont perform that if it wasnt a hit" then how id he manage to perform Calico Skies, Flaming Pie, Mrs Vanderbilt, neither were singles hits but great songs, alot of his other material fall into the catagories these songs come from
