Looking in those eyes

Looking in those eyes What a story they seem to tell All around the ones I glance at look around Upward and downward they turn Gazing at a wall of confusion settled around The lies from the lips as he spoke Broke a a heart with angered bitterness Shattering the inner world of the mind Burying the love tucked away for safe keeping He told me I could trust him Took me to dine Thought all was fine Only to be belittled to others He Said he searched me out Only to sarcely pay notice at the Temple Oh the deiceit in those eyes Offered me a ride I took the bus away from him I looked at another friends eyes to glance I seek With only a sense of hope to care my through Gazing at the light shown. Wishing I had made a differing choice Perhaps If the truth had shown through I would have seen. I can now look into the light to see the different eyes The eyes of the true one. I feel that when one is caught up in a deceitful situation it is hard to see the well meaning truth in another eyes until is may be too late. Another beautiful poem Doris.
