Oh what a dream Alone I felt, When I was just a girl coming into her youth So Afraid I felt So alone in school Outwardly appeared so quiet Inwardly I was screaming "Why all this?" "What is my life to become?" Oh G-d, I need you, No middleman please, answer my cries On the clouds of the light I slept Off the the REM State I crept My being so softand safe I felt Drifiting into deepness of slumber Awaiting the answers The Old man from the sky A glossy different skin he did have Face shined with incredible light A beard of the gentely natureflowing The long rounded figure protruding. He looked at me and said "Dont worry, One day you will rise above all those who hurt You" Pointing to the books Alluding to the planted seeds of wisdom A star of David shining bright Pointing ot a path of light Asuredly he spoke "Don't worry , I will always protect you All You need do is ask He continued his gentle words that night " I'll give you anything you wish/want Be careful what you ask for I 'll give you exactly what you ask for All you need do is ask" As a young girl curiously wondering The words did flow I looked eagerly to him ' By the way who are you" The wisdom of the man di reflect His face did glow a blindly bright white Impossible to look at, He spoke "I am G-d" There was nothing else to say but "Okay" To this day that light touched my soul As he did speak true I found the growth of my lifes seed Planting the fruits of my tommorrows Trying to understand the day he He came to my calling Assuring me I would survive In spite of all that happened To folow my hearts path I seek the wisdom of the light taught Hearing such a leson of love and light Wisdom passed on to me to t be As those who hurt me Be myself and rise above it all Follow the true path of my life Allow the spirit to shine from my life The lesson of a beautiful day taught The day of unbridled wisdome taught Give way to make wise the choice of words Especially said in prayer For no one really knows what the answer will be by Doris Ridge Mendlovitz
