      ****

Wanted so much more than casual conversation
How soon can we arrange a formal introduction?
We need to find a place where we can be alone
To spend some special time without an interruption
We can't be seen exchanging information

a bitter/sweet tribute to a loved one. I felt the pain and the understanding of feeling, the need, of having to let go. 'All these memories have these moments..... in my life I love you more.' you wrote with justice and compassion about loss I will look out for the moon tonight and think of your words, thank you.

Thank you, dear quail, for your understanding and for helping me to analyze this situation now even better.

You called my name in a dream we'd both made up the scene to get them thinking drinking sinking to colours never seen To a depth no one had been fork lighting lit up the screen I blinked and then danced I'd fallen apart I'd been unstitched at the seams To the left of centre on the edge of a knife to the centre of madness back to life and all the while the perfume of cats with their tails, held aloft, fuelled the night You called my name in a dream it was all I wanted to believe.

I can feel your pain and know it well. You expressed it beautifully.

Ode Of A Comet To The Sun I can never say goodbye I can never leave your soul Coz I was born from your heart So long long time ago I've just stepped back from your burning flame It hurted me and the pain from my humiliation Became harder than the old pain from our separation So stupid, I imagined myself a star like you But I'm not even a planet dancing around you, the mighty sun, I'm just a small proud piece of ice and stardust Drifting somewhere in a cold lonely space A comet passing you by, sometimes, Maybe in your dreamtime But it's enough for my paradise To be with you in my memories blue And whisper prayers for you...

Lana, that's beautiful, really beautifully expressed, somber and stunning

Sounds like you are a rare gem Lana and you are the Sun. I guess we live and learn and I love your poem. So poignant.❤️

Dear Kittay, thank you for your kind words! Yes, you're absolutely right, we live and learn. And I guess even in goodbyes we should try to see some positive aspect - at least our experience. As Paul sings in one wonderful song 'Your School': 'Tell me that I learned a lot in your school, your school...Just a poor fool in love'

Are you kin to Lana Del Ray, Lana? or Lana Turner

I shortened my real name after Svetlana Allilueva/Stalina's example as I'm fond of history. Well, your nickname is much more beautiful SusyLuvsPaul
