My cousin Elisa is a tw0-time breast cancer survivor who has operated a custom jewelry business since graduating from college as an art major thirty something years ago. Elisa started a foundation about a year ago making jewelry from musicians used guitar strings to raise money for cancer patients. I am helping her spread the word about this fantastic cause by helping her get musicians strings and getting music fans appreciating the jewelry. Check out the site and her facebook. I made a donation in honor of Linda McCartney and have bought several presents for family and friends. I had a pendant for my daughter made with a heart from my husband's guitar strings for Valentine's Day. Personally, I'd love to get Carly Simon and Melissa Ethridge's used guitar strings, both musicians are breast cancer survivors.
