You'll like the real record. Kapoo: Record your vocal as prominently as possible. That'll help me a lot when I master the track.

Here's a trimmed edit of Darth_McCartney's "Pink Clothes" demo -- more evidence of what great, individual talent can do with the same template: PINK CLOTHES - DARTH_McCARTNEY'S DEMO: http://www.mediafire.com/?vsbwpkt4vm1hvxu He harmonized with himself, used the bridge that I'd written which Kapoo later re-tooled, played a nice bluesy guitar solo and added a "Nineteen Hundred And Eighty-Five"-esque ending.

And here's a little instrumental demo that I did when we were all still working out the basic chords. I added a little G/F# to give it a "Lennon" vibe, but it got vetoed: So, here's one more for our future anthology: Pink Clothes (Audi's guitars-bass-percussion Demo 1-18-2012): http://www.mediafire.com/?wirpc7b014eppgf

Absolutely. I wrote a couple of verses that didn't get included (so far), but I'd like to record my own demo incorporating them some time, with Magnus my buddy on guitar. The version in my head has Kapoo singing and including my verses and more repetition of the chorus. But then I can easily imagine some kind of dance track which just repeats the chorus over and over with loads of bass, funktastic sounds, and some brass. Like you say, many possible directions!

hey illwobble, so when are you going to be coming round with another hook melody for us to work off of? PC style I will work for hook melodies
Well, you know, I've been thinking from now on I'm only going to send you the absolute cruddiest of my ideas and save the good ones to work on myself... I have one about early male baldness if you're interested? But seriously, I was doodling on the piano earlier with the chords to PC. Really nice: I like those 7th chords. So simple, but brilliant! Reminded me how little of this song did actually come from me. Also I realised those chords I sent you to go with my verses were comPLETELY wrong so just as well you ignored them!!

I think I basically use all minor 7th chords in Pink Clothes. I just know the formation. up on the ninth fret, first two chord tabs are: 9 (12) 9 (12) 9 9 11 9 9 (12) 9 (12) 9 11 9 9 I think thats how it starts.. and those (12)'s are like little hammer on notes, accents or whatever, giving that little high end. you're right J, chords are crazy simple but such a great sound. good jazz chords.
Oh no, you're speaking a foreign language to me now bro! Beth yn y byd ydy hwn i gyd yn ei feddwl, tybed?* I don't speak frets I'm afraid. I may pick it up soon. But I thought it was just Bm7 and E7. The E7 isn't minor, is it? Are the 12s like 12th notes, like having a 4th in there but an octave up? [size=7]*Bit of Welsh there. Translation: "what on earth does all this mean, I wonder"

found that very first Pink Clothes recording I did, just illwobbles chorus and my own vocal doodling. no lyrics yet, but some good feel. the historic 1st take!
OH YEAH! This is where it all got exciting!
