Loving the way this is going, gentlemen!! I had one thought that a slight improvement to the lyrics might be: Just 'cause you're a girl They dressed you all in pink clothes With pink clothes and a pink coat I don't know why, just 'cause I'm a boy I get so blue Take it or leave it or further tweak it, and obviously if what you're doing at the moment is layering and building on existing demos then keep going with that, but just consider these changes to the lyric for later when we go for something more final. I wish I had opportunities to really "freestyle" but I'm limited by not really having an instrument. I write all my stuff in my head, mainly during those precious moments of boredom away from a screen. This one I came up with when I was getting my little girl into the bath the other night. All her clothes were pink that day, you see.

Great stuff! Btw, this whole pink thing is a hot political topic if we choose to take it that way: http://www.guardian.co.uk/lifeandstyle/2011/dec/18/campaign-against-pink-toys-for-girls http://www.pinkstinks.co.uk/ I mean I agree, Pink Clothes would probably end more of a jam, but if we did want to develop the theme and add some verses, there's potential food for thought, and a ripe topic potentially

Well I sent you guys the jam version I like the story line behind the idea, kids being steered towards fashion and stuff in life. its pretty sick if you ask me

Kapoo, I now actually have no idea which sense of the word "sick" you're using! I'm interested in polysemous adjectives like this, you see.

Ok fine, if you prefer the original lyrics that's fine by me too. I wrote them as well!! How Do You Sleep? How can you mention that mean-spirited abomination in this context, man? No, don't bother answering that, I'm sure you like the groove to it or something. I assumed based on frequency of previous usage that you used "sick" in the "cool" sense, but just wanted to check as your context above strongly suggested the earlier "morally repugnant" sense. Adjectival polysemy is a speciality of mine!!

And while our four-man song is surely coming into fruition, I've been listening to a previous project that illwobble and I worked on this past Christmastime: ILLWOBBLE (w/ guitarist) & AUDI - HOPE OF DELIVERANCE (Written By Paul McCartney): http://www.mediafire.com/?kvfp1chk7xf8eub I've been listening to this quite a bit lately.

Well... ...the song is basically written. Kapoo and I rocked out a nice demo, which I'm tempted to share, but I'm going to produce a final track, based on Kapoo's arrangement, but I'm going to make sure that illwobble's main melody is the prominent "hook." I'm hoping that it can be worked out for ALL of us to sing on it -- one way or another.

A plugger is essentially being paid for their contacts in radio and the relationships they have built up with those contacts. A good plugger will have a range of contacts across different radio stations, covering DJs and producers as well as music and playlist programmers. A good plugger will have a "black book" - or these days a database - filled with contact info, as well as the type of music the contact's into, the format they like releases in (do they prefer MP3s, CDs or vinyl) and the results they've had from them in the past.

mccartney has talked of a famous 'plugger' who completely turned around the fading fortunes of his masterpiece 'band on the run'. cant remember the blokes name. he persuaded paul to release 'jet' as a single and the rest is history so to say.

No, no. I knew that...basically. What I meant was that I was not aware that Macsback was a plugging source.

what do you mean "JUST" good hype is everything these days if you want to sell something to people you've got to get everyone and anyone on board as its more difficult than ever before to break through in the music business, you guys have a possible audience of millions on the net but you gotta get out there and give it the hard sell. I've had a sneak preview of the demo and its really good guys, really looking forward to the finished article, its a ps. Once you've finished the song, get it out all over the net, plug it everywhere you can, even send it to net radio stations and bum the song up at every opportunity, that was just my 2 bobs worth
