I'm probably a bit behind on this, but does anyone know how you get good seats (ie. within 10 rows of the stage) at Paul concerts these days? I appreciate you probably have to pay through the nose, but I accept that. I just don't know how to do it! How do presales work? Who exactly gets access to presales? And how on earth do you get access to soundcheck shows?? Help please!
Hi, The bulk of the "good seats within ten rows of the stage" are mostly made available via front row and soundcheck packages. Everyone registered at the main site is eligible to participate in PaulMcCartney.com pre-sales. If you have not already done so, you may register here: http://www.paulmccartney.com/component/signup To keep up to date with Paul's latest concert/tour announcements, please visit the following: Main site upcoming concerts/tour dates page: http://www.paulmccartney.com/upcoming-tour-dates Main site home page: http://www.paulmccartney.com Main site news and blogs section: http://www.paulmccartney.com/news-blogs/news Maccaboard Rock Show forum: http://maccaboard.paulmccartney.com/phpBB2/viewforum.php?f=19 When convenient, have a look at the upcoming concerts/tour dates page to give you an idea of how things are set up for the current tour dates. Clicking on tickets will currently redirect you as the pre-sales are obviously long ago sold, but at least you will have an idea of what to expect when the time arrives. You may also wish to have a look at Event Travel to see what to expect with VIP packages: http://www.eventtravel.com/Paul-McCartney-Tickets I hope this information is helpful. Anita

Many thanks, that's great! I just need to start saving up.....

It didnt get pulled, it was on the site until the live auction and the highest bid on the auction on the site would be where they were starting the live auction from. This is quite common with these types of auctions
-
Even the auction they had for Japan stated that it was good for any show in Japan or show during the calendar year of 2014. There is no confirmed tour, Paul mentioned that he would like to visit Germany and the UK in an interview. Probably will happen but I wouldn't look for confirmation anytime soon. I would say that no announcement before leaving for Japan will mark the death of any UK Christmas shows.

Thinking the same.

If I learned anything from the Las Cruces debacle, it is to wait until McCartney makes an official announcement on his site.
I don't know about what Las Cruces was, but when a venue has tour information, for example, but there is no mention on an official website, it's a gamble. I feel bad for fans of any musician who spend money without confirmed dates but even confirmed dates can fall through.
Very true. To be fair to McCartney, he never announced a Las Cruces date. Negotiations were leaked to the press, and then they fell through. But yeah, anything can happen.

I had checked the schedule for the O2 at least 2 months ago and I couldn't figure out when in 2013 there would be an event day free in nov/dec. Maybe I need to check ahead for 2014, but maybe something more will be mentioned if he gets interviewed during these Japan dates.
