Hi, The Beatles and Paul McCartney always inspirated me to make music. So since my 15th as hobby I sing and make songs. I just did like to make fast and in a rush songs. But, now when I look back I think the lyrics could be better, the singing could be better, my guitar playing could be better, the production could be better, in fact everything could be better. haha. So a few month ago I thought, how can I make every point better. To be honest to myself if I would do it all by myself the answer would be a 100 years. I don't got that time. haha So at wish points I could make in a short time progress? To me these are writing lyrics and singing. Can I do that on my own? No, so I decided to make use of pro-musicians that help me write better lyrics and sing better. The good thing is I see and hear my improvements and that motivates even more. For the music I hired on low budget a productioncompany. This whole process inspires and motivates me to make an album. I think It'll will be released in the first half of 2015. Currently About 10-15 lyrics are alread (re)written and 4 of them have already music. One of the songs on the album will be 'Come to me' and is since today available on Jango to listen to. You can listen to it at http://www.jango.com/music/Martin+Lucassen I did start singing lessons after this song was produced (4 weeks ago, haha) I've also added the song 'Heart On Fire' and 'Beauty All Around' Let me know what you think! I'm wondering if you can hear the influence of The Beatles / Paul McCartney. With regards, Martin Lucassen

Hi Martin, Nice music. I can definitely hear McCartney's influence. Good luck with your album. I have stuff on Jango as well. I write instrumental guitar music. Here's a link to one of mine that I wrote when I was 15. http://www.jango.com/music/John+Ponton?l=0 Peace Forever, John Ponton

Come to me was great other than a couple of rushed lines. Heart On Fire: Almost Ska. You might consider that in a future mix. Could be a genre hit. Beauty All Around: What a wonderful song. The combination of rhythms gives it an earthy yet ethereal feel. It could use a video.

Thanks Duggan2112! Thanks for your great feedback of every track and checking out the songs! I can appreciate that very much! Yeah, need to think about a video. That would be something new for me. But there's always a first time! I'm yet in the process of finishing another 15 songs. If you liked the 3, then you might like these as well. http://www.jango.com/music/Martin+Lucassen?l=0 Regards, Martin

The album 'The Night Turns To Morning Light' with 12 crafted songs is almost ready. What I'm doing?:-) I've just uploaded a new track 'These Are The Times' made availeble to listen to. You can find it here: http://www.jango.com/music/Martin+Lucassen?l=0 It's about struggle and goals/ dreams. Lyrics: VERSE 1 Standing still as time goes by You?re chained to the ground Love has gone and life is hard In your own tears you drown Felt like a king but faith left home Just in dreams still crowned Come on and get yourself together You have goals that need to be found CHORUS These are the days to start doing These are the hours to get moving A minute is over Seconds keep rolling These are the times So get going VERSE 2 It?s your time and it?s your life Spread your wings and fly It?s a change, take this chance Straighten your back and fight It?s your turn, hold the line Keep your dreams and try Yes, it?s your turn, roll the dice Make a difference tonight BREAK Keep looking ahead And don?t look back Don?t be distracted Just stay on your track Written by Martin Lucassen Let me know what you think! Regards, Martin

Yesterday Paul performed in my country the Netherlands. This time I haven't been to one of his 2 concerts here. Last time for me was in 2009 in Arhem (Good Evening Europe Tour). The newspapers are very possitive about his performances. Not only 60+ people, but also younger once twitter that they had a great time. I definitely missed something! Finaly I've finished my first album 'The Night Turns To Morning Light' and I'm proud of it. I could create and let create a professional sounding. I just wanted to make a professional album once in my life. Not as a must of living, but just for the love of creating music. I could only create this with help of other musicians. Here are some quotes of a review: "He has a strong Beatles influence in his melodic songwriting, though in fact I would say his sound acoustic pop/rock is more like John Lennon?s solo music. His singing voice is strong with a tone that is easy on the ear, halfway between Lennon and Neil Finn from Crowded House." "Overall, this is a very well written pop/rock album that shows Martin Lucassen has a real knack for coming up with consistently catchy and enjoyable songs." If you want you can listen to some of those songs at my soundcloud-page.

                  Kind regards, Martin
