Sometimes don?t you wish they would bake bread instead. The world is at a state of unrest Factions are hating Wars are being fought People are taking up arms I wish they wear aprons instead. More weapons are made Fewer homes are built More wars are fought More hate arises. I wish they would paint fences instead., Cities divided with hate Each has the riot Shouting whose right and whose wrong More die a violent death for a cause I wish the same would take their time to sing a song together. One side of the world hates the other They take turns throwing bombs They retaliate back and forth More damage and lives are lost I wish they would bake bread instead If they baked bread instead They could feed each other. If the rebilt fences and painted them They would have more homes for peoples If they sang together they would have good feelings of happiness instead of hate. At last the universe looks down And smells bloodshed instead Feels hate instead of love and light Sees sorrow instead of laughter. And sees hatred back and forth Maybe one day I pray we should Bake bread and make food together Build homes in the world we share Make music for all to enjoy And use technology to heal instead of kill Perhaps one day the universe wouldlook Smile down and bless us Bless us with renew in spirits Replenishment in nature And Beauty for all the world to say I guess the world has a way to go to see this day.
