PLENTY TO LOSE Tearful from what you concealed from me fearful of what you revealed to me I didn't know you love her, you didn't tell me now you put me in the role of wicked seducer of your soul, so why did you want me because she wanted him? it's a sordid web you spin and if you ever call me again I'll say I know that you have a lover you probably don't need another so I'll be takin' a little time to get you out of my mind now I know that you have a lover you probably don't need another so I'll be takin' a little time to get you off of my mind I was so open and so feeling then if you touched me I might smile or I might bruise I might laugh, I might cry who knows the reason why but I know I have plenty to lose yes I know I have plenty to lose yes I'm sure I have plenty to lose oh I fear I have plenty to lose because I know that you have a lover, so why should you need another and I'll be taking a lot of time not to fret or to pine --for acoustic guitar, folk song by Susy

herc I've noticed you are the king of misspelling people names on here you always either misspell, or arrantly capitolize the first letter. like my name is categorically written 'kapoo'. unless people want to do KPU, which I also will respond to anyway! enough about me and herc 'Sussy' love your lyrics! get yourself a tape recorder and sing it for us, would be great to hear the Susy pipes in full acoustic folk force! I totally have an idea for your lyrics btw, using a track I have. and just on first reading I think it would work! want me to take a stab at it sometime? except it will be more rocky than folky. is that an issue? excellent lyrics. 🆒 do you play guitar? planning to post a rendition for us?

its like trying to catch the sun on the water..

BLUE STREET Feels like I live on Blue Street in a tenuous haze, lost in the silvery fog of rainy daze on the nothing I can do street once I made you out in the shadows there, all the time knowing there was not a hope or prayer missing you is bittersweet and I am lost on Blue Street I meant little to you so you see I can't help but be so blue will I ever find my way out of Blue Street, now that I know for sure you're gone to stay --Susy 2012 this song is a bit bluesy and jazzy

The Real Band (for Linda) Sometimes maybe she didn't feel she was in the "real band" that she just wasn't good enough but she was, she was his love he was her man she was real tough how could such be, a loving force like they shared? I always knew nobody cared that much, always had to live without that tender touch look at her fantastic life, how she got to be his wife then had to leave so much behind when she left here rather early that it truly amazes your mind I won't have nearly that much to lose, but what I have means so much to me though it might not, to somebody else I won't cry for myself when I leave 'cause I feel like a stranger to myself --Susy for Linda and for the Bronte sisters, and Emily Dickinson

This is my "Positively 4th Street"--a bitter protest ditty--but minus the Bob Dylan brilliance--from some months back, in 2011--thankfully the fussin' and feudin' has let up considerably since then (whew! relief!)-- Free Floatin' Ill Will free floatin' ill will imparts quite a shudder, and a chill who's it gonna land on next, and why is it so hard to give an' get respect they don't even know me! --and I don't really know them, yet sporadic cutting malice makes me wish to escape, to my long gone lamented pink palace I've beseeched please get off your broomsticks I know you think I'm just a silly dumb hick and to me you're a sneeze in the breeze such mysteries I want this free floatin' ill will to cease have you never heard of sisterhood and its power to do good works, let's please stop bein' such jerks our free floatin' ill will when it settles is quite a bitter pill-- where is some warmth to ease our shared chill? have they not heard of sisterhood and its powers to do good, I wish it would vanquish all this free floatin' fast growin' too often emoting ill will --S. (for acoustic guitar, folky)

Beyond the Pale drifting beyond the pale fallen down so low the raven, not a nightingale going where the wild things go knowing what the wild things know once an innocent child, lively, sweet, fun, yet timid and mild trying to be nice and kind trying to get her back but I've drifted beyond the pale, fallen down so low a raven not a nightingale knowing what the wild things know going where the wild things go my heart was an open book, I don't want them to take a look laughing at what all they took can't be sure again or pure again, cause of drifting beyond the pale --Susy "punk folk" song intense and slow inspired by Bryan Ferry and Roxy Music and by Marianne Faithfull punk rock downer music of the 80's and by "Crazy Heart" movie and music with Jeff Bridges sung in an emotional sad mournful way, bryan ferry wails softly in the background as beatnik bongos keep a slow hypnotic beat, its title is a cliche some lines are too
