I read the very first post here, and strongly disagree. Liverpool Anfield gig was fabulous, and Paul's rendition of "Eleanor Rigby" was electrifying, thrilling, stunning. Kid, you need to delve into his 1990s and 2000's CDs, there's so very much to appreciate and love (and also get into his Wings stuff). There's an endless treasure trove of real jewels to discover. And his 80s cds. Some you will love as much or even more than Beatles fare. If you really take the time to give it all a lot of ear time. It's immensely pleasurable, rewarding listening
Could you perhaps give me say, about 10 titles I could download and see? Just looking for Wings, Beatles or Mccartney on Limewire would be a harsh job to find which ones I actually am looking for and am actually looking to purchase. Note: I always download songs before I buy CD. That's how I figured Chinese Democracy is better than Death Magnetic

You can find out a lot about Paul's music on the "Not Such a Bad Boy" forum, especially. I don't know if his music is available for downloading from I-Tunes, etc. I never download music from I-Tunes, my p.c. is kind of old and I don't have an I-Pod, sorry. Maybe some other members can enlighten you on this. You can also listen to many of his songs and see videos to them on YouTube, of course, and get an idea which cds of his you want to get, from there. My suggestion is to get all of his cds but then I'm a major fan, totally enamoured of his music, and therefore some might say not discriminating enough, but I don't agree with that. One is allowed to be a major fan and love just about everything from a particular artist... there's not a law against that!

Oh well. While it was cool that Paul sang with Ringo and that he actually did ONE obscure song, "Cosmically Conscious", at the Radio City show, the rest of his set was about as currently relevant as a Gary Puckett and the Union Gap concert.

I'm 14 and I've never seen Paul and I really would love to hear him play the hits and I would be very happy with a "Hits" show so I wouldn't mind his "predictable" shows.

I wouldn't mind hearing his more unknown works, but I really hope Paul never drops "Hey Jude" from his setlist. It's one of his best songs ever and really great for crowd sing-alongs. Not that I've been to a Macca concert (yet), but "Hey Jude" is just too special to lose. That said, I hope he tears it up at Coachella with some Fireman stuff!

Judging from the comments on the official Coachella forum I think those people mainly want the Beatles hits. They have no interest in Paul's solo career which they are either unfamiliar with or think is crap.

I would just love it for Paul to stick two fingers up at them and just perform a set made up with all the songs from 'Memory' & Chaos'.
Maybe in future when he plays live it will just be his fans who go to see him.

I always defend Paul to the hilt if anyone criticizes him unjustly.But the critiques of his recent live shows are right in there views. After releasing two really strong solo records over the last few years, it seemed he was out of a artistic rut,but this hasn't transferred itself to his gigs. I never thought i would say a Paul gig was boring, but the Liverpool Sound show was, apart from Hippy Hippy Shake and a moving Day In The Life.
I was really taken aback by him doing Jet and some of the the other stuff at Radio City.I really wanted more White Album,MM Tour or Rubber Soul.

I would like to see Paul alternate tours: a major multi-city tour for the Beatles fans with a greatest hits set list and a smaller more alternative tour for the hard-core Paul/Wings fans. He could even play smaller venues the nights before or after major concerts with a shorter intimate set list of more obscure material and just forget about Yesterday, Hey Jude, Let It Be and Live and Let Die for a night. Something similar to the Amoeba show.

He also did Highway and Sing the Changes from Electric Arguments. Included were Dance Tonight (sorry but Amoeba was better IMHO) and Only Mama Knows. Mrs. Vanderbilt was great as was A Day in the Life/Give Peace a Chance even though he screwed up the lyrics, but even he laughed at that. He did do some Beatles rarities like Birthday and Paperback Writer which he hasn't done since the 93 tour. C'mon guys, what the hell do you want? You come up with songs in his over 300 song repertoire that people will like. Of course I would love to see other songs included, which he does do. I kind of wished he had done Inspite of all the Danger again but how many people would want to hear/see that song done again? You can't please everyone. You have that choice to buy the ticket bitching and moaning about how he didn't mix it up to your satisfaction or not go at all, leaving the ticket for people who would better appreciate the show.

I just think certain people would like to hear more of his total career in concert and I think that is very normal and not bitching. I understand he can't please everyone but don't you think most fans would enjoy a little more variety. If you just want Beatle songs wouldn't you love to hear him throw in "Oh Darling" or "Rocky Racoon"? Instead of the same songs from BOTR, how about doing "Helen Wheels" or "1985" which were hits. MAF was his last solo record, why not do 3-4 songs from it. Finally, you would think from a artistic point he would enjoy doing more different songs. I know if I was him I would be so sick of doing certain Beatle songs. Yes, he wants to please fans who have never seen him but he has to remember there are quite a few fans at these concerts that have been fortunate to see him several times.

But he has done stuff off of MAF and has done Helen Wheels. When I saw him in 2007 he did Dance Tonight, That Was Me, House of Wax (which was incredible), Nod Your Head, and Only Mama Knows. You just gotta catch him at the right time. No matter what he does, people will criticize him because he didn't do enough of whatever or didn't do their favorite song.
