My fav live Macca experinence of the 4 I have had was when i saw him at Hammersmith in 2010. Everything about that gig was just...perfect. From getting a half day of work just to ensure I had a ticket, so lucky as they seemed to sell out in almost 3 mins, to the day of the gig itself with heavy snow cancelling most public transport, just getting on that one train to London then arriving at the venue, at last! I was there, and then the wait was so exciting after that mission. The gig itself was just sheer excellence and I still think about it often. I was around some very cool fans which helped and we was near the stage with genral admission, everyone standing and no seats! Fantastic! Macca comes out and opens with Magical Mystery Tour, just brilliant and I swaer we made eye contact during that number, Macca looking at me and smiling his head off, as he does. I also think I got a "you were great" acknowledgment at the end but not quite sure if for me or someone else. Such a great vibe in a rather intimate (well, for Macca at least) setting and so perfect just before xmas! I was really happy he "dusted down" Wonderfull Xmas Time, despite the fact we all get sick of hearing it every year, it was just fantastic and really got me in the xmassy vibe. Set list was great (well, for me anyway as it was only my 2nd macca gig) and it really was one of the all time best gigs I have attended, and that is saying quite something. AND I remember that afterwards, by the merch stall I spotted a chap who looked almost EXACTLY as Lennon circa 1980. Wow! Brilliant brilliant brilliant!

        Seen Macca at:27/6/2010 Hyde Park - 18/12/2010 Hammersmith Appollo -5/12/2011 02 Arena - 29/3/2012 Royal Albert Hall - 23/05/2015 02 arena - 24/05/2015 02 arena - 16/12/2018 02 arena

Seen Ringo at:17/6/2011 Hampton Court Palace

Er, dont think so. If they did then it would have been the same as the Up and Coming tour earlier in the year (as these last minutes gigs really were a part of).

For me it was Montevideo, April 15 2012...what a wonderful day! I traveled from Chile the same day Paul arrives to Montevideo, we arrived with a few minutes of difference, and I had only a ticket for the concert, but...I don't know who guided me to the soundcheck, was like a dream...I was standing at the bus' stop when I saw the big trucks going to the Centario Stadium, I thought: Oh! those are Paul's trucks!!!! and I followed his route..I came to the stadium' doors and in one of those places there was not guards...and I come in, and stayed there for 6 hours until he appeared on the stage, I joined with the people who has his ticket for the sound check, and no one notice that I didn't have the little blue ribbon in my arm... I saw him, took him photos and a few videos...I couldn't believed how lucky I was! And I forgot, I am in the video that they recorded at those wonderful afternoon. That was my best Paul's concert

What a lucky day for you! I would be arrested for trespassing and wouldn't make bail until the concert was over!

I thought about this possibility...at the night when I've come back to the Hotel. When I was there just enjoyed and not to think, that's why I guess it was magic.

                Please, come back soon!!!!

My best concert experience concerned with Paul is probably the very first time I saw him singing and playing on stage at Wembley Arena, in London on the 11th of January 1990. You can have many wonderful dates with your girlfriend and kiss her many times but the first date and the first kiss are always very special. The same thing is with concerts. After 20 years of listening to his music under the Iron Curtain, in the Communist Poland suddenly that experience - the Man Himself turned up right in front of my eyes singing "Got To Get You Into My Life" (it was one of the tracks beginning his set during the world tour 1989/1990). I went to this concert together with my sister Ewa and our British Italian friend Mary. Everything was so new so fresh also because I visited my sister in England for the first time after she got married in 1983. I couldn't attend her wedding ceremony in London because of the political situation in Poland - throoughout the eighties I was liable to communist military service with no chance of getting a passport. So to me it was a magic coincidence - meeting my sister, my nephew Alex (then 5-years old) and my brother-in-law John at their English home in the end (after a number of their visits to Poland) and seeing the live performance of my rock n roll hero! At the same time it was the beginning of my journalistic activity. I remember writing the review of this concert entitled "Znowu Beatlemania" ("Beatlemania Again"). It was published in the "Sztandar Mlodych" ("The Banner of the Young") newspaper in Warsaw, on the 15th of January 1990. From this article it all started for me. I mean my professional mission of popularizing Paul McCartney's music in Poland.

You must have noticed I used the expression "under the Iron Curtain" instead of common "behind the Iron Curtain". I changed it in consciousness, a bit in the Beatles manner because the word "under" reflects the state I was in more precisely. When you are behind the Curtain you can climb it and jump into a new world. When you are under it, you feel crushed and completely unable to arise, to stand up. So I was UNDER the Iron Curtan because I couldn't get a passport or visit my sister who lived in the West. No creative move was possible - this is what my eighties of the XX century were like. Paul McCartney's music symbolized better days to come but it also sort of frustrated me giving awarenesss of how unattainable the Other World was. With such psychological background I entered Wembley Arena in London on the 11th of January 1990.

Piotr I got chills when I read your story! I hope for you that the rumor about Paul coming to Poland this year is true and you get to have another great experience. There must be so many people like you who grew up under that oppression who now understand what freedom really means. Hurray the past is over and you can rock now!

Detroit 2011, Comerica Park Got up on stage (with 4 other fans) during sound check, danced to "Lady Madonna" and got to finally meet Paul after 47 years. Gave him a huge bouquet of flowers, and got a kiss on the cheek, as we walked off he said into the mic-"Been waitin' 47 years to do that" which is pretty much what I said to him... 2nd best 2010-2nd night (went to both) at the Hollywood Bowl, front row on Rusty's side-sat next to friends of his. Very cool security guy. At the barrier the whole concert-lots of room to dance. 3rd best-Glendale Az 2010, we had a conversation with Paul about what TRI-MACCA meant....also the first time I heard "Every Night" live-AWESOME!!
