So I'm hangin' in a bar in Melbourne, just reading about Macca's plans. Good for you. But I feel so cast off. Nothing will come of this but I just have to vent. A man in his 70's who is worth squillion...can't give us ONE CONCERT! Well...I'm finished with you.

I tend to agree with you and am on the same page.

Australia won't hit his price. That's my only theory. Hell, Macca would do a show in Syria if they came up with his guarantee.

Well, does need the money, ya know! He can't play Australia, or Albuquerque, or Argentina. He has to make a living!

Could it be that he doesn't like place names beginning with the letter "A"???? :

Just read a story at Macca Report about how McCartney was brought to Lubbock. The same promoter who brought him to New Mexico in 1993 and tried to bring him here again in 2013 was instrumental in getting him to Lubbock. But no NM show. That is disheartening. So strange that a New Mexico promoter would not get him here, but to another state. Sad.

They would probably charge too much again, he definitely has the pulling power to sell out in every major city with the right promotions (hell, Ringo sold out) but no one is going to pay $250 for a ticket.

Yes, exactly. So his handlers carefully select markets where he can sell out tickets where the highest price is $250, and if your city doesn't match that model, too bad. In the good old days, an act just charged the market price and put on a concert. Not any more. To be fair, McCartney isn't the only one doing this. Albuquerque used to get just about every act that toured. Now we are left off of most major act tour itineraries because of the "new" pricing. We just don't have the economy. It is sad. I am glad McCartney came to New Mexico in 1993 when tickets were $35. And I am glad I got to see most big acts before it became this "big money" ticket. I'll save my cash and watch clips for free on youtube!

I paid $450.00 each for three tenth row ticket at the cancelled Melbourne show in 2002. I would spend that and more in a heartbeat.!!!!! To see Paul maybe one more time before we are both too old, would be worth any amount. I don't care how much the tickets are, ill be there : Cheers Chrissie

AND IN THE END, THE LOVE YOU MAKE IS EQUAL TO THE LOVE YOU TAKE.

Really hoping Paul will come to Australia next year!! He has a massive fan base and heaps of support from us, so I don't know why he hasn't considered coming down here. Have been on the TiketTek waitlist for months hoping that there will be some news of Paul coming down under.

Ok, so enough!! what the f@#& is going on?! This is getting beyond ridiculous and us Aussies at least deserve an explanation! if Paul is not ever going to come back, just tell us why!! Year after year we are just waiting with hope for a tour. So Paul, if it's never going to happen, just let us know so we can move on. Thankyou!

Just come off seeing the rolling Stones in front of 54000 people at the new Adelaide Oval which is truly a world class venue. If its good enough for the Stones to do an Aussie tour then its good enough for MAcca. Get here!

This reminds me of Jamiroquai: As an American and a gigantic Jamiroquai fan, I've been waiting and waiting for them to come back to America, as I've never seen Jamiroquai live. From what I've read, they haven't been here for ten years; yet, they are constantly on tour in various parts of the world. The rumor is that their last U.S. tour resulted in Jay Kay having to personally finance the balance of that tour. So, at least, that's a reason -- unlike what our friends in Australia are going through with McCartney.

...and typically no mention of us... @thefemtrooper Is there anywhere in the world you haven't been but would like to go? PAUL: Yeah, China! It seems like everyone else has, but I haven't!

He was asked about places he has NEVER visited. He has been to Australia many times, so why would he answer that?

Yeah thanks, I realise that. I was being sardonic. No mention of our country at all in his Q&A session. In fact I submit questions regarding Australia were weeded out or just simply ignored. And one Beatles tour aside, 2 tours since 1975 is not "many times."

From a buddy here in Melbourne... "I asked if he was coming to Australia...and I wasn't the only one!" And the silence is deafening - meanwhile the Stones are tearing it up and LOVING BEING HERE!!!

Hearing from other people I know, one girl in Sydney too. All saying they asked about Australia. They all got the lemon and sars.

The Foos are coming. You'd have thought Grohl, the Stones, Dylan, Springsteen, Ringo et al would have suggested it - playing here. But gee a bruised ego must be crippling if one is a Beatle!
