The Foos are coming. You'd have thought Grohl, the Stones, Dylan, Springsteen, Ringo et al would have suggested it - playing here. But gee a bruised ego must be crippling if one is a Beatle!
All those acts have played Albuquerque. Also Elton John, Billy Joel, The Who, Tom Petty, Sting, Led Zep and many more. I just don't buy the whole "He's too big of a star" argument. Those are big acts too.

I've never seen anyone say exactly where the Australia 2015 rumour started, but that Bob Gannon fellow who comments on the tour rumour threads mentioned that he'd been told it isn't gonna happen. Suprise suprise if that's the case

A friend of mine was at LIPA this year. Literally...LITERALLY latched on to Paul's car as he was leaving. "Paul! Come to Australia! Come to Australia!" he yelled at Paul through his open window... "It's happening. Soon man. Soon. I'm coming." And all this is captured on camera - both sound and vision. 2 scenarios: he is truly coming to Australia...or he just blurted out to placate my mate and to leave him feeling good. Surely Paul McCartney wouldn't lie...would he?

The Paul to tour Australia rumours happen each year since 2002. Some years the buzz is so great it makes FRONT PAGE news in the tabloids. Perhaps what annoys me most is Marshall Arts won't douse any rumours and kill them off when they occur. Clearly they could put all of Australia's Beatles/ Macca fans at peace by issuing a statement along the lines of... "A McCartney Australian tour would not be profitable...therefore with regret there will never be plans for a Paul McCartney tour of Australia." I could handle that. All of his Aussie fans could. Just TELL US EITHER WAY! PUT US OUT OF OUR MISERY. Not helping when even Paul himself says "...we're working on it.." ... or "I'm just waiting until my divorce is finalised..." or........ Marshall Arts and MPL are treating us like patsies. So disrespectful.

Obviously Paul's definition of "soon" differs from his fans. However, I guess all we can do is remain loyal. But God! We want specific time! ( No offence to Paul)

That is correct. I was at the first Melbourne arena concert, luckily. But...I might have gone to Adelaide, Sydney, Perth, Brisbane or New Zealand to see them too. They give you an opportunity. McCartney on the other hand...

I am starting to wonder why Paul has such an aversion to coming back to our Antipodean shores. We are not that far away.... Mind you, the Beatles did have one hell of a swell time when they visited in '64. Maybe he is worried he'll be greeted at the airport by a hell of a lot of people who look a lot like him? And there have been a couple of charlatans posing as tour promoters in this country who have ruined it for a few.
