Yup. I would be surprised if they can get 12,000 in there for a concert, even 10,000.

Still, I have to wonder why he can play Lubbock, Missoula, and Fargo. As you said, it could be something as simple as a local promoter or the city guaranteeing him his fee.

I think it all comes down to business. And as I said, Paul wouldn't get out of bed for a million

He does that all the time though. With those outrageous prices (80 euros for a standing ticket) over here in for example 2012, he couldn't sell out the complete arena (about 15,000 people). That's a gross revenue of about a million, if lucky. Purely the revenues of the ticket sales coming in, without taking all the expenses in consideration.

As someone already pointed out, it's not like no famous artists perform in Australia or New Mexico. In fact, we get most of them, just not Paul. The Stones just did a successful tour of Australia and New Zealand. How did that happen? It must be a personal thing with McCartney.

Yes, and that proves the point I'm making: without a big promo campaign and many ticket giveaways that second night will be an intimate one. You can only push the limit this much.

GA tickets in Brazil were USD 400 last year, but 200 for students.

Yes, and that is the point. Congrats the organization over there can find stadiums full of people crazy enough to spend a fortune on a night out: we don't. We bring a fair - and already way overblown - portion of money to the table, without all kind of champagne package tomfoolery, and that's enough. And like said, it says McCartney's team does take that opportunity fine enough. As they should. So I'm saying, he does enough gigs where he can't charge the full monty, and could do that in any territory.

Elton John is touring Australia this coming December. Apparently he can find a way to make it work. The Stones already have. Maybe Paul will re think this.

I did ask Jeremy Dylan an Aussie music exec on FB for his thoughts on Paul not touring Oz! "I would suspect it's about a promoter finding the right offer that makes financial sense both for him coming all the way out here and has potential for profit without putting a massive ticket price on the shows (which McCartney doesn't like to do generally). I can't imagine it won't happen in the next year, especially after the Stones tour last year makes him the only icon of that vintage not to make the trip out here in the last while."

Exactly. All ready for this summer there is Fleetwood Mac, Neil diamond, Elton John, ACDC, Ed Sheeran (again), KISS, Taylor Swift coming to Oz (no dount with more to announce soon). He is by far and away the odd one out.

Yeah, but that doesn't clear up why everyone else can seemingly do it so easily, while Paul can't. Or won't. It's been 22 effin' years.

Exactly. All ready for this summer there is Fleetwood Mac, Neil diamond, Elton John, ACDC, Ed Sheeran (again), KISS, Taylor Swift coming to Oz (no dount with more to announce soon). He is by far and away the odd one out.

                                  Perhaps he won't be.

I wouldn't get too excited. People are just commenting and making observations.
