The company that does the VIP packages has second shows listed for Melb and Syd already! Melb is the 6th. I didnt check / remember the date for Syd.

Unless they've changed it, but a couple of days ago it was up on slotix.com - find the Paul McCartney page, and scroll through the dates. A friend showed it to me, and when I checked, sure enough there it was!

They don't appear to be there now, I'm afraid. But if they were there once that means they've got them planned and I think it's more than likely that enough tickets will sell to warrant the second shows. I'd like to go to the second show but get a nosebleed seat. That way I'll catch setlist differences (I've not been able to decide whether I'd rather see Hi Hi Hi or I Saw Her Standing There) and I may be able to see more of Live and Let Die.

        • Melbourne AAMI Park 5/12/17, Soundcheck + 3rd Row
        • Melbourne AAMI Park 6/12/17, Waaaaay up the back (still incredibly fab)

No you're right! I definitely saw it as did my friend. Not sure if she screen grabbed it. Im thinking the same about the second show assuming all goes to plan. I just cant have him playing in my town and not be there haha!

I just bought 2 Platinum tickets for the Perth show! someone on facebook said they'd bought tickets for the Auckland show through the fanclub. so I looked at the tour page and sure enough there's a code for all the Aussie dates! yippee! my seats are nowhere near the stage but I don't care, I'm going to see Paul! that's all that matters

I wonder, how high are the stages normally? Still not sure if I should have got Row E versus Row K, but I was worried E might be too close if the stage is high i.e. looking up a lot the whole time. The angle of K would be less. This is for Brisbane (Suncorp Stadium). Interested to hear any peoples thoughts.

That's a shot from Tokyo 2013. The stage may be high but the gap between front row and stage is so large that I wouldn't be worried about craning your neck, especially from row E.

As it turned out I actually got Row K, not E!! but thats only 6 rows behind E, from your pic there isn't a massive difference really between the two. Kind of regretting not getting E but hopefully K should still be great.

Are the venues all indoors? Here is a photo I found from Minneapolis last year, which was indoors. Assuming no major changes are made to the stage this year, should be pretty much the same for all indoor shows.

Can't view the photo, unfortunately. I follow the link and it just says 'We'll be back shortly.' However, I don't think they're all indoors. I wouldn't call AAMI Park indoors though it may have a roof, I don't know. A funny aside - I googled AAMI Park when the rumours started and that's apparently not its real name. It's "officially" called 'Melbourne Rectangular Stadium'. Catchy.

Sorry you can't see the photo. But in any case, the stage isn't as high as the ones used for the outdoor shows. Only neck-craning involved comes when he uses the platform. 😉

Well, congratulations to all of those that got tickets! Myself included! I am a 30 year old fan from Melbourne and have been following this page for around 4 or 5 years. I was on holidays in Vietnam when I thought I'd fly to Japan in 2014 for only the concerts to be cancelled. It was so shattering! I stayed 2 days in Tokyo then flew back to Melbourne. I really thought that would be my opportunity gone. I couldn't afford to go the next year. Then finally, this year when dates were announced for Tokyo in April, I got through to a great ticket and something in me said hold off, couldn't justify the expenses to do it.. and he's coming to Australia! There were rumours and rumours, but these were good ones! It's 2017 or never, so thank you Paul! And I've got a fantastic ticket for Melbourne, B2, just outside of Diamond! Couldn't have asked for a better seat for the price!

Almost the same as me: age, location and also seating. I managed to sneak into A1, but B2 looks like a fine spot too Tell me, are the seat numbers from left to right? I'm seat 19. Just trying to figure out which side of the section I am sitting. Closer to the barriers or to Diamond?

Well done! A1 is closer than me! I am not sure how the seat numbers work! Either way, you have a fantastic seat

Yours is good too! Seriously. You're getting better value than someone in C2 or C4. Plus you won't have to crane your neck so much as I will lol Funny how the seating has worked out? I'm fine with it as I consider my seat an absolute bargain. But Diamond and Platinum, when you really look at the placement of some areas, have some anomalies. There are cases where the top tier ticket isn't necessarily the best (for one of the example I stated).

It's good of Paul to finally get round to playing the show he postponed in Melbourne, a mere 15 years ago http://www.theage.com.au/articles/2002/10/27/1035683303442.html

I was in the city today so I went and had a look at AAMI Park since I'd never actually been there before. I could see most of the ground through a window and I reckon it will be a pretty good venue for a show. It's outdoors but not too big and even the really cheap seats should still get a reasonably good view.

It just occurred to me maybe Paul should have scheduled Oz and New Zealand first on this latest round of tours. It's been so long since he played there, and they've yearned for this for ages. Plus he might be super enthused and invigorated since these would be the first new concerts. On the other hand, seems like he's always "up" and "on" to the max for each concert, equally inspired to play each show--part of the reason his tours are so successful.

Hi to all the other 30-something fans who will be at Paul's concerts. My dad found it quite amazing that Macca had so many young followers (this coming from the man who got me into The Beatles at a very young age!) Murph, I don't know if you are trolling or not but Paul playing here now has actually benefitted me hugely. If he played here in 2002 I doubt he would have ever come back to Australia and back then I did not have the money for a great ticket. I'm pretty sure there are many fans who are just grateful that he finally added Australia to a tour.

Is anyone doing the whole leg? Perth - Melbourne - Brisbane - Sydney - Auckland. I am and almost exhausted from buying tickets on silly Ticketek before it begins!! Not the best of websites, but I found the mobile version to be okay, which I only discovered yesterday for the second Sydney concert! See you there
