Food Control by US Government
-
Please note the new food-control powers the US Federal Department of Agriculture has now - and how they are being fought by Vermont, as they must be now by individual states. http://healthfreedoms.org/2011/01/13/vermont-takes-action-to-resist-fda-take-over-with-a-resolution-all-should-adopt/ This is very bad as who controls food controls everything!

Thanks for that link Firestar... people in the US really should be more concerned about the food they eat and understand what things are being done that they are not aware of. Here is an interesting article about GMO's Genetically Modified Organisms which are used in the US, there are laws limiting whether we even can know that they are in our foods. Europe is trying very hard to keep them out of their food system. Even if you are vegetarian and think you are eating well... much of the soy crops in the US are found to have GMO's which all studies have found to be dangerous, but are being used and we the people of the US are the guinea pigs. This is something that you really need to make yourself aware of!! http://www.voltairenet.org/article166785.html and Dr. Rima Lima who is crossing the globe, trying to help keep our food safe, keep the CODEX on the foods safe and also is very informative on vaccines. http://www.healthfreedomusa.org/?cat=17

Thanks for the links, Love2travel. I couldn't get the Rima piece though - it wouldn't come up - not sure why. Great sites to know about, though. I agree with all you say.

USDA also is currently considering deregulating GE alfalfa.

This makes me so mad, and so much food tastes awful now... You have to wonder when you go to the store and the pears look like they have bumps all over them and looke really nasty... What the???? We are being used as human guinea pigs and my belief is that's why so many Americans of all ages have trouble with memory and reversing numbers and things like that... it's the garbage that's being passed off as food. When you go to the store, check out where you food is coming from!! If it's from a third world country, think about how you can't even drink the water there without getting sick, and then now you think their fruit is going to be OK? How much fruit tastes like cardboard.... what happened to all of the good tasting peaches?

A survey supported by the Centers for Disease control and Prevention yielded some eye-opening results. In 2000, 28 states had prevalences of adult obesity less than 20% and no state had a prevalence of more than 30%. In 2005, four states had prevalences of less than 20% and three states had prevalences of more than 30%. By 2007, only one state had a prevalence of less than 20% while three still had prevalences of more than 20%. In 2009 there were no states that had dropped to the forecast 15%, while a record nine states showed prevalences greater than 30%.
